PS4 OR Xbox One

Mates aren't very big gamers. I haven't been online in a few months on my 360 anyway.

Also PC is out of the question..seems too technical, wouldn't know where to start.

Just want the console which has best graphics and generally performs better.
PS4 holds a minor edge in graphics and price, whilst the Xbox One holds a minor edge in it's games and it's non-gaming functionality. There isn't a great deal in it either way, though a lot of PS4 users seem to want people to believe there is for some reason. If graphics and overall performance are most important to you then the PS4 would be your best bet. Take a look at the current and upcoming games, though, and see which appeal to you most.

Anyone who is claiming the kinect isn't a quality addition hasn't used it on xbox fitness. Microsoft are seriously underselling how great a tool this is.

The kinect is phenomenal, and I initially thought it would be gimmicky as hell.

So if you're only interested in gaming, which one is better?

If you're playing online which ever one the majority of your mates have.

PS4 has slightly better graphics for cross format games but the online isn't as reliable in my experience.

Xbox off, xbox off.......XBOX OFF!!! Oh FFS where's the remote!
Why would anyone say 'Xbox Off' to it and expect something to happen? That isn't a voice command. Again, you are obviously a moron.

I'm assuming this means you have no EA games on your PS4? You would look very stupid if you've bought Fifa on the PS4 to get less than the XB version after your latest comment.

Well on FIFA you can just use the button to change formation as opposed to you and a pal yelling at the TV every 2 mins.
The PS4 version runs set a better frame rate and higher res though so you tell me which you prefer!

You mentioned exclusive content for Destiny on the PS4 and said "why pay the same and get less" so I'm asking you the same in regards to EA games. This has nothing to do with Kinect or voice commands, it's that EA provide Xbox users more content at a quicker rate than the PS4.

More reliable games? Haha, go over to battlelog and take a look at all the posts from gamers complaining about issues with the BF4. Click on their profiles and view which format they're playing on.

I don't agree with the more content at a quicker rate....FIFA has an exclusive mode but I'd rather have the better frame rate and smoother resolution.

Your spot on about BF4 though......I do have the XBO version but it's by pure fate I ended up with it.
The PS4 version looks much nicer but yeah, from what I can gather it's quite unstable.

Not really a reason to buy an inferior console is it though in all seriousness. EA f**ked BF up less on XBO. No reason at all is it.

-- Mon Mar 17, 2014 10:24 pm --

Not a single game is better on XBO. None, nich, nill, zero.

This is my point, inferior how? Unless you have both consoles playing on an identical monitor next to each other the graphical differences are minimal. If you really want superb graphics above all else sell both of your consoles and buy a PC, you won't regret it.

Again in regards to stability, pro clubs on each console is not the same. I've seen people complaining on FPC (a clubs website for the competitive players) that they are being put into clubs games with other random teams when searching for games. I don't know if this happens on the Xbox but I've not witnessed it in a hundred games.

Kinect really does depend on the person, isn't there a 100+ page insanity thread on this site? It costs £99 to buy the DVDs, you get that and other workouts for free. For me personally this justifies the cost of Kinect alone.

Another reason kinect is horrible. Why do I have to say 'XBOX TURN OFF' as opposed to just 'xbox off' it ridiculous that this device I'm forced to pay £80 for can't tell the difference.
The device is at fault not the user.

Well we've already established (and you agreed) that Bf4 was better on the Xbox so make your mind up.

How about Forza, Titanfall, Dead Rising or Ryse for current games? I would say they are better, considering you can't get them on PS4. Project Spark, Kinect Sports Rivals, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break all look pretty good too for future games, which again won't be available on PS4. As I said, overall the games on Xbox One probably just about edge the PS4 ones in my opinion, mostly thanks to a pretty good lineup of exclusives, though the graphics on the PS4 ones are probably a little better.

I'm amazed that someone like you has managed to work out how to register on an internet forum, never mind actually posting things.

Don't know about pro clubs but as I say, I play the xbox version and me and a few friends when all in the same party continuously get our into differs teams and different squads. It's a shame you can't just squad up before going into a game and resolve the prob that way.

As for your fitness example, fine - if you want to use the console to get fit then kinectbim sure is ok. Most people but a games console to play games on though.
Also the ps4 camera works very well and when you buy that it comes to a similar price as an XBO.
May as we'll buy a ps4 and a camera. Prob solved.
