Public enquiry into Manchester bombing

They all went in regardless, how long though? People inside the building said lives would have been saved if paramedics were allowed in?
Firemen told not to go, the general public using signs to carry people our two hours later...if that's not a complete fuck up I don't know, or possibly you do?
How do they know lives would have been saved? Many were, I totally agree the fire service fucked up royally however the police and paramedics did not and you dishonour them by even suggesting it, they did their best in fucking awful circumstances.

I didn't say they did, the fuck up came from above, the top brass, absolutely a huge cock up but don't criticise anyone, heaven forbid...

I work for Showsec and there is up to 15 medics for every gig and also Showsec were giving medical attention, i didnt work that night so cant answer how i wouldve reacted, this past year ive watched numerous people who were on scene 10 minutes later claiming credit and speaking to the Evening News while Showsec staff have had to keep quiet, well done to any one who tried to help that night , all heroes , it couldve been alot worse

This is like Trumps outburst over that security guard who didn't go into the school all guns blazing when Trump said he would have done. Turns out the guard was following procedure and waiting for backup so as not to steam in and add to the gunfire and bloodshed.

So many people on here seem to have expert knowledge ( or think they have ) about what could and should have been done. Simple facts are these are one off events. There cannot be a dry run a perfect training exercise at the exact spot where something later happens so everybody knows where to be where to go like choreography. Think Bradford, think Kings Cross or Grenfell and even the Manchester bombing by the IRA. In all such cases emergency services follow a predetermined plan which has to be a one size fits all approach and so there will always be gaps, errors and the unforeseen. All that can be done is hope everybody did their best in the circumstances and that any lessons that can be are learned and taken forward. God forbid but when the next one happens there will be post event hand wringing and questions and some mistakes will inevitably be made then too - its what happens but its important to learn every time.

Bit simplistic that mate, huge errors were made, how many times can we say, oh well lessons learned, the chief of the fire service basically did a runner after the events.

You criticised the paramedics on the ground for not going in, the management on the ground made the call to allow them in they did nothing wrong in fact they went against their policies. The only management cock up was the fire service by a country mile the rest went above and beyond in my opinion.

What has come from this is a one size fits all is not fit for purpose but more importantly to me is they should look at the people making decisions, many are pen pushers who get to that rank because they are pen pushers and not common sense decision makers, sadly in this day and age to get on it seems they’d rather have someone who follows blindly a piece of paper rather than someone who can think for themselves, which in certain jobs is ok but not in emergency services.

I said 'how long do you wait before going in' I know they are working to orders thats why I said the majority would 'choose' to go in.
A lot of people would be happy for it to be swept under the carpet ie 'what else could they do' hypothesis.
It's bollocks highly trained, highly paid professionals got it wrong.

You've no fucking idea what you're talking about. In fact I'd say you're talking out of your arse, which is quite appropriate for an arsehole.
