pubs showing rags over us tomorrow

I only just moved to manchester, im an oot blue and i went to watch the derby in my local and i was the only blue in there, i expected it to be all city as its not too far from maine road used to be but everyone just started taking the piss out of me, it wasn't what i expected to be honest.

I felt a bit let down but i had a go back saying most local blues would be at the game.

What pisses me off is when some pubs show Liverpool, or even Spurs![/quote

Over a City game at same time...? Give over, as if....

Pubs will show what ever brings them most business. They are not daft.

If there are more people in the place wanting to watch a Liverpool game then that is what they will show. Get over it.

It's on days when City are away and United are at home that you realise that the old adage about there being more City fans than United in Manchester itself is complete bullshit.

They have 75,000 in a ground, we have 2,500, yet they still have more wanting to watch them in the Manchester pubs than we do.

I actually go to Earlestown or Warrington to watch City away games (when the two clash) that I am not attending. There's enough of us and less of the rags It's less embarrassing than finding myself in a Manchester pub (as I have in the past) with the vast majority of the clientele not even interested in our game and hearing two people cheer when we score.

Does anyone know of a pub around Chorlton who might be showing it? Bit tricky with United playing at the same time.

Failing that, where abouts in town will have it on?

Am I the only one that hates watching a City game in a pub?
They always seem to be full of numpty sky reds or some no nothing that just wants to rile anyone that is genuine in their support of a side playing.
Much prefer sitting in my own home watching it on either the TV or on the TV through a stream, add to that 48 cans of Bow for £20 is a lot better than paying £3 a pint and when it gets too stressful I dont have to go outside for a smoke.

No im the same,AT THE GAME>TV>PUB>RADIO>STREAM.

cant deal with those streams i prefer the radio, and at home where i can watch without wankers walking infront of the screen or my absolute pet hate, drunk people "blues" who slag our team off. im better being angry at home, than biting my lip in the pub.

any pubs near sale/altrincham area that deffo showing city?

edit: just rang orange tree and if they can get it they will show it.

Its simple just tell the landlord you will be boycottig the pub. Fairness would be showing alternative games. ie show the team which is playing away.

Putting City to one side for a minute, pubs are businesses. They need to sell beer to pay the bills. Certainly around here there are more rags than Blues - I'm on border of Bolton/Salford - and there's a good showing of Blues for ours but not as many as rags at their games.

With so many pubs going bump the landlords have to show what brings the customers in. As it is round here City are third - behind rags and Bolton :-(
Take on your point mate about the pub being a business, but I for one would not be happy if I was a regular and the Landlord was showing preference to a bunch of day trippers.
