Does anyone remember the Manchester band called V2? I only remember them having a single out (because my mate bought it). Just found this:

V2 - Mancunian 1970s punk band - Wipe Out Music

V2 were a punk band with a glam edge from Manchester who formed after seeing the Sex Pistols play at Lesser Free Trade Hall in 1976.

It was a compilation album. Slaughter, x ray specs, buzzcocks etc.
A great version of hard lovin man by Johnny Moped.

listened to the Vibrators first two albums over the weekend (Pure Mania and V2). Cracking albums and V2 was just about the best Punk album of 1978.
Shame they broke up at the end of 78 though they reformed a few years later but they weren't anywhere near as good..
Bizarrely, the track Pure Mania is on the V2 album.
