Anyone who thinks this is straightforward is mistaken.

Night game at Loftus Rd will be difficult. They are on a good run in the league and will be fired up for this. I can see us losing this. Especially without Kompany and Kolo Toure who would normally deputise for him

The first 20-30 mins is key.

Keep it solid, control the crowd and we will win.

If we match their effort our quality will be too much.
They'll be sitting deep and trying to pinch a goal. Their recent form is good with decent results against Spurs and Chelsea. FA Cup is irrelevant to this game
Exactly, twitcher will have them fired up,he's got a run of good results recently this will be a close call, hoping we dont miss a load of chances if and when presented with them as that imo is our only problem at the moment not taking our chances and killing teams off....

just heard tarabaat and remy are doubtfull for tuesday.

could be arry expecting a loss and will save players for a more winnable game.

If Taarabt is out it will be a huge plus for us .......

that guy is quality , and in QPR games i've watched on telly , such as their last one at the Swamp , he's been their best player by a country mile.

Zamora and Bothroyd are good players. Not sure what's happened to Hoilett but I rate him too

A month ago, and this looked a good game, now it looks fraught with danger. I expect to win, but it wouldn't shock me if we got beat.

You see it the same as me Marvin, it's a dangerous fixture this one.

We seem to struggle on small tight pitches aswell where the midfield gets congested and no room to operate

Apparently the rule now is that all pitches have to be the same size, but when you look at some of them on TV it seems hard to believe. It might be how close some touchlines are to the fans that creates an illusion of a small pitch? The fans are almost on top of the players at Loftus Road.

Well it's a good thing every pitch in the Premier League is the same size then, eh?

The ground is small and compact if I remember right
That's true. But wasn't Danamy's point more to do with the pitch size rather than the stadium size? I dunno.

We will be sound, the pitch is the required size of 105 x 68 same as ours so no problem, confidence will be high with 5 clean sheets bring it on.

Probably worded wrong but I meant small tight grounds ie, QPR, West Ham, Everton etc...............

If our attitude is poor then this could be a very tricky game. But if we do approach the game like we did against Stoke, and with Redknapp's Sun Article then we should have enough quality to win the game.

If we play how we have been doing since the turn of the year then we should be fine. A goal in the opening half an hour should settle us down. If QPR come out, we simply switch on at the back and pick them off, hopefully making it 2-0 and 3-0 as the game goes on.

Give me Mancini's job.

I've had a change of heart since yesterday, and I could do tomorrow, but I'll post what team I currently think will do a job and the reasons why.

Hart coming back in is pretty much self-explanatory. Lescott and Nastasic are the only two natural centre-backs available in the squad, so that's self explanatory too. Zabaleta and Clichy are our two strongest full-backs, so that's also self-explanatory. Javi Garcia and Barry have done well together recently, so that's self-explanatory too. Silva, Tevez and Aguero are instrumental when they get going, and I think this will be the chance Sinclair finally gets to show what he can do. This formation allows us to move the ball to the advanced midfielders quickly and hit on the break at any given moment. Clichy and Zabaleta supporting every other attack.

Subs: Pantilimon, Rekik, Kolarov, Milner, Dzeko, Nasri, Balotelli.

I would say bang on with that apart from Milner for Sinclair I'd say, his work rate will be much needed in a scrap

pretty good lineup but I would put Milner in place of Sinclair. Also, I feel Dzeko would useful this game because I feel there will be long periods where QPR put 10 behind the ball and we will need to go wide and use crosses to break them down, surely Dzeko is best for this, although Aguero and Tevez offer more to our overall game because of their technical ability.

My only worry with Milner is that he looked a little laboured in his movement on Saturday and might be feeling the effects of playing 6 games on the trot over Christmas more than others because he's been working the hardest.
That's fair comment. He looked a little weary. I think there is a fair chance that Nasri will come back in.

Don't worry about Jimmy, he's fit as fuck

With him in the side it also gives the full back the confidence to push on without fear of being exposed, Jimmy has the mindset to tuck in and tracks back when needed. You wouldn't get that from Sinclair?
