Quite the opposite I’d say.Wearing black ties on BBC news already seems a little disrespectful.

They feel strongly enough to post about it. I don’t feel strongly about WWE so I don’t post in those threads.
I would suspect like my criticism of her children it was before the seriousness of the situation was clear when it was merely said she was under medical supervision. Now is not the time for that but we should shore sympathy for those who are likely to soon lose their mother Grandmother and great grand mother as losing family is not a good thing to go through and it appears more and more likely as this story gains momentumYou've got to be a special kind of **** to be pushing whatever opinions you have on the Royal family at this time.
My thoughts too. If royalists are still supporting the royals then it won't bother me. It doesn't affect me. It's the Queen that I have grown up with. People saying why are you bothered you have never met her. I've never met alot of ex City players but they are in my fabricNothing on this planet will bring us all together.....it's just how it is. Divided Britain.
After the Queen has passed the Royals are finished I think.
Not one of them commands any respect like The Queen does, for some of us.
I'm not really interested in how other countries work because that is not how it works in the UK.This is a fundamental lack of understanding of how other countries work.
The last 6 years has shown the concept of a Royal Head of State to be completely unfit for purpose. In a normal country with a prime minister and president/chancellor/other elected head of state there is a check on the power of the PM. There is a counterbalance, another voice, someone who takes a long term view of running the country vs. the short term government just looking at the next election. Part of the reason we are in the mess we are in is because Britains head of state has been MIA while Johnson and co. burned everything to the ground.
Now that's not Elizabeth Windsor's fault, but that anyone could think the country has been well served by having a head of state that abstains from running the state is tragic really.
Whatever you feel, it’s the most prominent British public figure dying. But I feel strongly about this too hence posting in this thread so not sure how that analogy relates to this? Only difference is mine is not the popular opinion. Fair enough.
exactly...it's just not the time.Whatever you feel, it’s the most prominent British public figure dying.
Now probably isn’t the time for the debate about her worth to society .
There’s a few that specialise in it.You've got to be a special kind of **** to be pushing whatever opinions you have on the Royal family at this time.

I don't think you understand how our governmental system works, it would be completely out of the ordinary and unconstitutional for the Queen to interfere no matter how much she agreed or disagreed. The whole point of her position is that she has no opinion and she doesn't get involved in politics.
The reason for this is whether you're right and whether we're actually even in a mess is just your opinion. The current government was elected and is doing as it's doing because it was elected to do so whether rightly or wrongly. If you have a problem with this government then in 2 years time you'll get your chance to get rid of them because that's how it works. The Queen represents this process, she doesn't represent who is in power.
As I've said in another reply, don't confuse politics with the head of state, they're completely different things. You can't just judge a head of state because they didn't act against something you personally disagree with. The reason why is there will be many in the country who think the opposite to you and that is just as important.
