It will be sad for her and her family of course, and I suppose it will be sad for many of the population but I will object to be being told that I should mourn the passing of someone who has had no effect on my life whatsoever. Felt exactly the same with Diana and any celebrity who has died. I just don't get it.

If the Queen passes there will be 12 days of mourning, so I think it’ll be cancelled for 2 wks.
Correct, I also think Champions League in this country.
Local government shuts down and the police are mobilised for a national movement of people.

If a grieving country is to be cast into mourning, ten days of the insufferable Nicholas Witchell would surely be rubbing salt into a gaping wound.

There is a minimum age as far as I’m aware. I could look it up, but suffice to say you have to be an adult.Do you always vote for grown ups?

I am proud to have lived most of my life in the second Elizabethan Age. She has been a great Monarch and figurehead for our Country which feels as its already lost its identity as Great Britain.

I was thinking that. If she has died, they could well wait for all the family to gather together before announcing it.Given the reaction, I would say she has already passed, or will not last the day.
