More tea vicar...I'd rather walk through an airport style body scanner than have some bloke on a temp agency contract start putting his hands all over me and demand I remove items of clothing

OK until you get showered with beer when City score ....The dark blue box: one of life’s great footballing mysteries.
In what other line of entertainment would you have a nice dark rectangle where you’re not permitted to stand and watch whatever you’ve paid to see?
I’ve become fucking brilliant at drinking a pint, on my tiptoes, craning my neck then shuttling round to the edge of the next blue box to catch up with the action.
Went to Leipzig last year, bought a pint, stood on tiptoes holding pint at back of stand until i was told by a steward, “You can sit with your drink. In your own seat.”
Disbelief was soon followed by the dawning realisation that yes, indeed, you actually can have a pint in your seat in Germany. So I had eight more.
Yeah, and people getting up every two seconds. But apart from that, great idea!OK until you get showered with beer when City score ....
If it was a female.steward you wouldn't object ;)The answer is for Danny Wilson or whoever is in charge of stewarding at City to sit down with Showsec and to discuss and to review to what extent these physical and personal searches need to happen. Because when stewards are physically patting you down and touching you, that shouldn’t happen or be allowed by City. If a steward wants to wand you, fair enough.
I refused to allow a steward to pat me down. He asked me to open my jacket. (in Winter) I asked him why I should do that. So I can pat you down. I’m not letting you do that. You aren’t touching me. He looked at me. Said nothing. And just wanded me.
I would urge anyone to refuse to be patted down by a steward. If a Showsec or City steward insists on patting you down ask to speak to a steward supervisor. There are 10,000’s of City fans who do not get patted down every home match, so why should any City fan be singled out for no reason to be patted down? They shouldn’t.
Have you seen most of them?If it was a female.steward you wouldn't object ;)
Yesterday going in
Steward (loosely termed) “can you open your coat”
Me “Why”
Steward “so I can see if you have anything you shouldn’t “
Me “ Well I haven’t “
Steward “ ok “
And then went in.

You want elderly people to open their coat and other warm clothing underneath when it's freezing and launching it down?Probably why there are queues when people are being awkward and trying to argue. What’s the issue with just opening your coat or taking your hat off? If anything was ever to happen the same people moaning about over zealous security would be saying there should be more stringent checks.
Unfortunately this is the world we live in and it’s not just isolated to getting into the Etihad.
