Radio 2 - who's it aimed at?

She has, in her own way. But perhaps she was furnished with the opportunities to demonstrate her ability to be successful in the media.
On the other hand, maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree, and her parents played no role in it, and the fact they both had a media profile and connections was co-incidental.
Regardless, she still ain’t my cuppa.
I think she has tapped into the quintessentially English lady for the modern market, a bit like Nigella.

Regardless, I think we’re on the same page in that she isn't hugely captivating and plays more stupid than she really is.

I don’t tend to bump into her stuff by accident as I don’t listen to radio 2 nor watch celebrities try to dance.

My sister in law really like Radio 2, especially Zoe Ball and Vernon Kay. Personally, I don’t think I’ve listened to R2 for about 10 years. Rather listen to Greatest Hits, Smooth or Gold.
I'd always imagined radio 2 was for bored housewives & grannies, for before the soaps came on the telly

me nowadays, LBC is my go to but everynow and then i'll go Radio 2.
cba listening to new music as i take my first steps into FOC territory
find it an easy listen
especially saturdays pre parkrun, enjoy Dermot O Leary's show.
they play good stuff.

I think I'm banned from BBC Radio Wales phone ins after calling the Wynne Evans show ( the Go Compare bloke ) and calling Rednecks, Rednecks. Auntie doesn't like that and after I suggested that even if Elvis IS dead, Steps should be. The line went dead..... I'd forgotten that 'H' from Steps has a show on there......I dont think they'll miss me somehow.

Classic.

Thank fuck for that. She was even shite in the 90s
Massive fanfare when she "gave up" the Breakfast show to do this dead in the water slot on a Saturday lunchtime - thereby consigning Pick of the Pops to late Sunday afternoon and now she fucks off. Vastly overpaid (like most on the BBC payroll). Hopefully we don't see/hear from her again.

Hardly ever listen to radio 2 ..... although i might just catch 'pick of the pops' on the odd Saturday afternoon if there's no City game on, and especially if it's music from the sixties or seventies.

Radio X is the only thing I'll listen to and that's pretty much the breakfast show for the drive into work. Spotify the rest of the day.
