Utter rubbish, but I suppose the fact that you and people like you think this is the case mean the RAF does have an issue to address - even if it's only public perception
It seems to have an issue in terms of its racial profile, not just public perception. Institutions invariably limit the pool of talent they choose from. Take gender. In the RAF (from latest figures) around 6% of women are pilots. In the USAF it’s around 20%. So, are US women better pilots than UK women, or are they just given the opportunity?
Trying to encourage institutions to choose from a wider talent pool seems sensible.
