Raheem Sterling - 2016/17 performances

I think I've been as vocal a champion of Sterling as anyone, and have been saying he's our POTS for months, but I still think he deserves a rest at some point if he's going to keep it going through the next few months with the fixture congestion, and his performance vs. Swansea did make it look like playing every minute of every game was getting to him. Obviously the 8 days rest was enough.

A rest is in my eyes different to what happened to Kun in the last two games. My point was simply that people calling for Raz to be dropped for Kun don't get how much Pep rates him and how important he is to our side. I suspect he'll get a rest against Huddersfield in order to be primed for Monaco.

@domalino

Well... well... I've been more vocal than both of you, so take that!

Ha, I couldn't give a rats tbh seb, there's a sense of rewriting history on bluemoon.... One minute you're getting slagged for questioning Silva, the next some forget there position on sterling, sane etc etc... Part of the process I guess but for me sterling is currently our player of the season!

Ha ha, I was only joking. It's absolutely fine to argue over who thought Raheem was class first. After all, we're a drop in the ocean compared to the mass of imbeciles lapping up the Daily Mail's excuse for "news" and the bitter, twisted Liverpool supporters that hate anyone that doesn't pledge lifelong allegiance to Kenny Dalglish's gold plated right boot.

It's all the ones who were giving out about Yaya for 2 years who act like it never happened now that really annoy me.

Hopefully Sterling will improve his confidence, his shooting and his physical strength.

I will be Pep's biggest achievement if he can help our young 3 stars ( Sane, Sterling & Jesus) reach their potential.

if all three reach anywhere near their potential then we are going to be a very dangerous team, better then any team we have had in recent memory
