Marcus Rashford got more credit from the ITV commentators for running twenty yards with the ball yesterday than Raheem Sterling did for setting up Defoe's goal. No exaggeration.
Agree Sterling outstanding bit of skill laid it on a plate for Defoe! If that was Rashford he would be on the back pages and raved about! No surprise that its a rag player and a Liverpool play being talked up the media is infested with there supporters

It's weird , he was englands biggest threat in the first half yet gets subbed for big nose within 15 minutes of the second , Di he pick up a knock ?

Is there any way of finding out what happened to Raheem in the first half yesterday? as I'm curious as to what the problem was- plus, as he didn't seem to play quite as well after the incident.

no way tbh if sane can maintain the form he is having right now...for me sane is much better than sterling looks like a more complete player both are/will be WC but i see sane with much more chances at winning Ballon D or tbh

Probably not Messi. Bit its telling that folks don't realize Sterling is currently 2 to 3 steps better than Sane. Sure they play differently and Sane glides and is more pleasing aesthetically. doubt it, they refuse to acknowledge it.
Needs to be burying every chance (almost regardless of whether he's being chopped down) to ever curry favour with our media. Needs to become so important to England that they can't possibly ignore him anymore, and with that our own fortunes will change.
Huge pressure on him, but I hope for all our sakes he manages it.
