Fcuks sake it was only a friendly and anyway there's a case to be made that he was trying to get out of the way of the keeper.
Let's give the benefit of the doubt to one of our own particularly when the media are giving him such a hard time.
How did he play? I was not able to watch the game.
He was average to be honest, no better or worse than Lingard or Ali any of whom could have been substituted. Probably should have scored early on, certainly should have done better with the chance but unfortunately it's all fuel for the Sterling haters.
Thanks. I don t think the system helps him a lot, to be honest. He was average to be honest, no better or worse than Lingard or Ali any of whom could have been substituted. Sterling did OK last night in a game where he got no decent service and was denied space.
He kept it simple and sensible most of the time.
Perhaps need to take a few risks but that opens him up to getting crucified by media and others supporters.
Wasn’t that all Rashford did - lose the ball?Yep it’s alright for Rashford to do what he wants Media don’t get on his back if he loses the ball they usually say what a great bit of skill.
You can see the difference it makes to Rashford having no pressure at all. He comes on and has a go safe in the knowledge that if everything he tries comes to nothing then he gets praise anyway.Sterling did OK last night in a game where he got no decent service and was denied space.

Raheem has the knowledge that the media and majority of England fans are just waiting for him to fuck up and if he does something good then its a case of "well its about time".
