Top drawer performance from Raheem yesterday for me. Never stopped running with the ball which gave Watford lots of problems. Pleased he took his penalty. Glad that Southgate was at the game and he can see how stupid he was dropping him due to media pressure. I like Raheem a lot he's professional gives his all every game despite lots of needless stick from awful pundits and fans. Sure he can improve a few areas of his game but hes still only young and he gives us another option on the ball. Keep it it Raheem you are doing fine.

I admire your optimism in assuming that Southgate has the intelligence to reach that conclusion.

It's amazing how many seemingly sensible people swallow the media myth about Sterling, he's often portrayed as some spoiled petulant brat yet I can't recall any instance of that behaviour in the 2 years he's been at City, in fact he seems to carry himself very well on the pitch given some of the ridiculous hounding he gets from opposition fans - and, sadly, a few City fans.

Have to echo those sentiments lancs blue. I think he handles himself very well.

You don't have to argue with everyone and anyone who has a high opinion of him. It's bordering on an obsession and it's not your responsibility to temper the enthusiasm for him on here.

I actually thought he was a bit naff yesterday but, from what others are saying, my opinion might well change on second viewing.

That isnt an argument, it was questioning his value. I suspect many of his fans on here would think it is a tad optimistic. As for repeating my view, that is response to those repating theirs, after all, it is a forum.

It is odd, why do they live and post in the threads of people they don't rate at all ?

I could understand them coming on and saying "look, I think he is shit and vastly over rated" and then fucking off and not coming back on the thread, unless it was to say look I was actually wrong but to keep on arguing and calling Sterling and other posters who rate beggars belief, KI mean who really wants to be that right about a City player being useless and a waste of 50m ?

for the record I like him and think he is getting better, the type of player that he is of course he will have quiet games or he will have games where things don't quite come off, it has always been the same for wingers but overall his stats are impressive enough and he has plenty of room to improve his skillset and consistency and if he manages that with us then we will have a truly great player on our hands.

On top of all that he has had to deal with grounds openly booing his every touch, how many players would have just folded up under such pressure ? The same every time he pulls on an England jersey, if I was him I would fuck England off but then again that would make the booing even worse, fucking morons that they are.
Its a forum ffs , you purporting we should only have one post aint gonna work. I want him to improve and become a great for us, and when he does, I will say so.

The it's a forum excuse just gets boring, you do not need to be in a thread about somebody you obviously do not like, you do not need to reply to every poster that has a positive opinion for Sterling and counter it with your own view that he is not all that good.

Once or twice fine enough, 35 pages or so in and everybody knows your opinion, why do you need to express it that often ? What pleasure do you get out of arguing with other City fans about the merits of a player ?

It literally can be argued inside a day and then it will just get repeated over and over and over again, then another poster may stumble on the argument and join in, then you repeat all your negative crap again and again, repeat forever.

It wouldn't be so bad if he had actually been shit.

100m today is what last season and the season before ?

30m for JFE sound right to you ?

140m rejected for Coutino, you think he is that much better than Sterling ?

Of course to old school football fans 100m is an eye raiser and way over anybody's value but that doesn't matter nowadays.

Mbappe 160m for a player who only scored 15 league goals in the French top division, this is the same division a washed up old **** smacked for 40 goals the season before or that's what people said when Ibra signed for the rags, is he value for money at 160m.

So 100m for Sterling isn't really quite the REALLY you made it tbh.

Also as for the excuse of you repeating because other keep repeating, what do you expect City fans to do on a City forum but defend a player from someone that just comes across as a hater because at the end of the day nobody could be that blind to see that he is not the shit player you keep making him out to be.

Love Sterling. He's gotten better every season. Could be a lethal player internationally as well, if used correctly.
