Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

He’s obviously still very bitter and raw at leaving city. You can tell he wanted to stay but pep had made his mind up that he wasn’t part of his plans.

When you miss out on all the big games when you was once one of the first names on the team shirt it’s bound to sting a bit.
City have moved on and Raheem needs to do the same.

He gave us some wonderful times and scored a hell of a lot of goals in his time plus being part of our most successful era. Yes some people are focusing on some of misses such as Burnley or Lyon but that’s football. That’s not down to a lack of application or effort. That’s totally different. He did gave his all and that’s all you can really ask for.

His interview was Ill judged and he said some daft things but I won’t let it bother me too much. We all say silly things after a big event. Hopefully in time he will accept that it was business and pep and city were going in a different direction.

Something seemed quite off last season and it was obvious to a lot of people watching. Even the last game you could see his celebration was a bit muted (I might be mistaken). Add to that the non attendance at the parade, I am surprised news of some issues din't come up then. Not a lot of players leave City and speak bad about us, but Raheem has fucked up here.
He was off it for two seasons, he clearly had peaked with us and that's what his fan boys should have seen, without doubt he more than played his part in our title wins but that time was clearly over, as said before, shut the F**k up and move on, he is beginning to sound bitter, and there is simply no need for that.

Dont have a problem with his comments ,he always gave 100% and never sulked ,you cannot blame a player wanting to play more games ,he was brilliant for us and we virtually got our money back , lets not turn into Dippers and give the lad a hard time. He should be welcomed back when Chelsea come to the Etihad he scored some vital goals for us and for similar money we have upgraded with Haaland in the goalscroing department , and we know the big man is ten times better then Raheem in finishing one on one situations.

Makes me laugh how some fans can be so fickle. The lad helped us to win numerous title with vital goals at vital times. Nobody knows what happened behind the scenes, maybe he was actually poorly treated, nobody knows, but so many fans just happy to stick the boot in and forget the years of service based on assumptions. He obviously thinks he was poorly treated towards the end otherwise he wouldn't say anything. The facts we do know is what he did for us and that will always deserve a welcome whenever he returns for opposing teams

He didn't though....and that's a predominant reason many have issue with him.
There were many occasions over the past couple of seasons he was in 2nd gear, having perfected the art of flattering to deceive with his short bursts of pace but without putting his body on the line, getting stuck in,or providing much substance when a pair of bollocks were required.

He always looked like a player who could give more IMO,and it seems Pep thought the same.

Zin and Jesus were two who 'gave their all',both genuine team players, hence why they will always be given a better reception than this character.
