He will 100% score against us for them but I am still not that bothered if they sign him….he’s decent enough still but has shortcomings, major positive is his pace.
Sorry, but this is the most partisan and nonsensical post I ever read on this forum. In his final year of City career Sterling scored 17 goals, 13 of those in the Pl, more than Grealish achieved for three years in our club. And that was his poor season. And he was always clocking 30+ games, always available always ready. Unfortunately for him he follows the line of former City players like Nasri, Dzeko, Yaya who did so much for our club, but were never taken to by a number of City supporters for whatever reasons. Love Grealish, but somparing him to Sterling in their City careers is a cheek at best and bullshit in reality.Whatever he does is fine by me. It's his life to live.
I just want to clear up one thing. The idea that he left once he was no longer value-add imo is way off. He was very poor for a long while. We should have sold him a lot sooner than we did.
Grealish may not be perfect and was hugely overpriced but he is miles better than Sterling was in his final years at City.
Or BurnleyMore like his legacy is his miss against Lyon. Still can't understand how he missed, he had enough time to control the ball, sit down, have a brew and still score.
They are different players but I wanted Sterling gone window after window (no matter his goals). He was poor.Sorry, but this is the most partisan and nonsensical post I ever read on this forum. .......
I find the disrespect for players who did a huge amount for the team and us fans quite annoying. By any yardstick, Sterling was a big part of our success and 131 goals is a fabulous return. They are different players but I wanted Sterling gone window after window (no matter his goals). He was poor.
Grealish now plays on the left and while he could be involved in more goals he has been effective in helping our overall game.
I was very happy with the switch from Sterling to Grealish.

Of course, he was on the decline and this probably happened too early in his career and you might want to criticise his personality - but please don’t insult footballing achievements, not least being an intrinsic part of the Centurions team, arguably the most exciting in our history.
Would be a bit gutted though if he went to the rags!!!
Surprised nobody's mentioned the several gilt-edged chances he missed in the first half against United on the day when victory against the twats would've seen us win the league!Or Burnley

It does seem absurd but they must be worried about PSRAnother United player who will be clawing in £300k a week
One of the most bizarre signings they'll have made post Ferguson, and my God have their been some odd ones
Just can't get my head around why they would want him? He doesn't really score goals, and he doesn't really create them either. He had a huge purple patch at City, where he was a classic system player for Pep, but I think Pep knew he wouldn't be able to reproduce that elsewhere
An absolute nothing signing for them even by their standards
I'd like to think his legacy was the cross that started the comeback against Villa.More like his legacy is his miss against Lyon. Still can't understand how he missed, he had enough time to control the ball, sit down, have a brew and still score.

Should have had a hat trick that day.Surprised nobody's mentioned the several gilt-edged chances he missed in the first half against United on the day when victory against the twats would've seen us win the league!
Superb appraisal !Always given him the respect he deserved as a key cog in a city team that won 10 trophies whilst he was here. Had no issues with him going to Chelsea or anything he's done since. I will naturally have to boo the fuck out of his every touch if he were to play for them though and hope he has a mental breakdown whenever he plays against us as he did with the dippers for us.
Don't even see who this makes sense for, he's quite similar to rashford. Another left winger with pace, no footballing brain and a tendency to miss sitters and both of them will find themselves behind the very punchable Garnacho in the pecking order.
