Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

Disappointing the amount of people on here triggered over that interview.

The questions were leading and he was asked "are you sure, is there not a part of you that was resentful and angry?" Raheem said no, at the time yes he was fuming when dropped but he isn't now.

You all know Sky are manipulative with creating stories and many have fallen for it
This wasn’t a leading question; “How big a decision was it for you, because at your previous club - of course, there’s no guarantees in football, there isn’t Raheem - but, you won four Premier League titles, you won trophies, you won individual honours as well; how big a decision is it to move from that?”

And Raheem answered that question with; “As I said, I wouldn’t, erm, you know, stay, and, of course, take part in something I knew that that I couldn’t give my my all in…”

He couldn’t give his all because he wasn’t playing in the games he thought he should be? Sod off Raheem!

That’s not at the level but not far off Stephen Ireland’s “I didn’t care about the score when I was on the bench” days after leaving Scholes to run free into our box and score an injury time winner for United.

As I’ve said, it’s not worth giving him shit when he returns to play against us, I’ll still applaud him, but it does shows a lack of self understanding and awareness and a poor attitude to his teammates, club and fanbase.

Missed kids birthdays surprised he didn’t mention Xmas as well, oh do fuck off I’ve done that for 35 years and made what you do in a month, ye thanks for your service but you won’t be missed, slapped arse.
Sergio's son was in Argentina for a lot of his time with us, he missed loads! Raheem is a cheeky fucker

Who the fuck hasn't missed birthdays or other important events in the lives of our loved ones because we had to work? Most of us do it to put food on the table. Sterling did it for experiences and wealth that most people can only dream of. Missing your kid's birthday to go to a job you love that means your kids will never in their lives have to worry about money feels like a small compromise.

When I was a kid, both of my parents were nurses. It was more common than not that, for at least part of Christmas day, or my birthday, or my siblings' birthdays, at least one of them was working. It was a sacrifice that they and we accepted because it's a commitment you make when you take that job and there were people who needed them more than we did.

If my dad was a Premier League footballer and was playing on my birthday, I'd consider spending a few hours in absolute luxury at the stadium watching him play - or even watching his team play while he was on the bench - as part of my birthday treat. If it was purely a case that he had to train then that's basically the same situation with most kids' parents' work, only probably better because I doubt football training is as long as the average 9-5, not to mention the 13-hour shifts my dad used to work.
I used to double back on Xmas morning if that's how it fell.
Get home at half six, bed till nine, get up with the kids to see them open presents, dinner by twelve, call to see my mam and dad at one for fifteen minutes then back to work for two.
Looking back I think the kids respected what I did for them back then and all for about £80 a shift.
Players today don't know how lucky they are

What is he on about? When he was on form
he played. But he’s was very inconsistent at best in the last 2 years. So. That’s why he didn’t get picked.

Yes there were leading questions given all the headlines and all the frothing at the mouth was about him saying he was "fuming."

It was Geoff Shreeves who put those words into his mouth and he initially said no.

As for the above I don't see the problem, he felt that he wasn't being picked for the big games so he thought he couldn't stay. That's nothing like saying he didn't care about the score.
