Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

just watch the **** not shit himself in front of goal v us this season though...............................
He'll probably celebrate like fuck. Going down the Milner route for me. I fought his corner on here in the past but coming across as a bitter prick now.

I reckon things went on behind the scenes because this can’t just be a dispute over game time. More will come from this

Shame he’s burning bridges. Lost some respect for him. Hasn’t performed the last 2 years, end of.

Guessing he needs to check a dictionary to understand what untenable actually means

The article reads as me me me me me me me, but has that come from Sterling or the reporter?

Think it's him that needs to move on.
They are asking him questions and he is saying how he feels or felt.

You don’t like his answer so you are getting offended. I think it is the people getting offended that need to move on.

Just shut the fuck up now you sour little mouthy prick. Legend my arse.

You were treated more than fairly. The fact your form fell of a cliff seems not to be something you noticed. Glad Pep fucked you off.

All those people who wasted time on him calling him a legend having a go a those who saw him for what he really was. knew he'd stick the knife in at the first available opportunity

It's really disappointing. I mean, the actual content of the interview itself isn't exactly explosive - didn't play as much as I deserved, was really angry, sad how things ended, etc. Nothing groundbreaking. Just the fact he's saying it is sad.

He's clearly incredibly bitter about the last couple of years - it's clear now that he and Pep never mended their relationship.

Pep's faith in him from when he arrived in 2016, at a low point for Sterling, helped build his confidence up to the point where he was able to perform at an incredibly high level - now it's obvious he feels deeply hurt by the loss of that faith.

I've said before I think his performances on the right wing were almost always good, and that it didn't make sense to me that he couldn't nail down a consistent place when the team looked better with him instead of Riyad. Clearly he believes the same thing.

But to be fair, spending 100m on Grealish pretty much telegraphed that Pep wanted a different profile on the wings.

That interview doesn't make me feel angry, or pissed off. It just makes me sad.

He clearly feels rejected, bitter and unfairly treated. Maybe he needs to feel like that, to play at his best. I don't know.

But it's sad. It shouldn't effect his relationship with the club or the fans, but it will. I just hope that one day he can get over it, and he and Pep can sit down and sort things out. They both owe each other.

Like most City fans (I think) I was grateful for his contribution to our success but I thought he was on a downward path as his game wasn’t improving

So far for me he’s not really said anything that taints the memory. A lot of players have egos and don’t like being effectively dropped.

Plus you have to have sympathy for him having to play for a team with Chelsea’s style of football. He must miss KDB, Bernardo etc

Probably boils down to his contract that was due for renewal. His next one was probably going to be his last big one before turning 30 in 3 years, but how can you increase the weekly wage of one of our top earners when his performances have been in decline for the past two seasons.
And sacrificing family birthdays to play football for 300k a week! Give me a break, these are the sacrifices that we all make for 10 quid an hour.

He is clearly not helping himself and coming across as bitter and self-pitying.

He would show himself in a better light by just cutting out these type of interviews and producing the goods on the pitch.

Glad he did that interview sat down or else he would of tripped over his own laces, fuck off Raheem City gave you more than enough game time and time off.
