The wont sell him to the rags, he's ours, probably about £35m in the end ....
Really don't think this is a good buy. Yet to see him have a good game in a big match. Crossing and finishing poor. I'd rather have Walcott And I'm not a massive fan of his.
Total guesswork though. How anyone can say how good a player will be in 5 years is speculation. Some of the worlds best players were nowhere at 20, some 20 year olds tagged as the next big thing never materialised that way.
Sterling would be a gamble but a calculated one. If you look at other "golden boy" winners probably 7 or 8 out of 10 have gone on to be top class footballers and some the worlds best. Not bad odds.
Reus hasn't won a Bundesliga title or a European trophy, he missed the World Cup with injury and Dortmund were largely mediocre last season even with him in the team. I'm not disputing that he's a talented player but superstar seems way OTT.
I agree mate.
With Sterling we would definitely be purchasing the player he could become rather than the player he currently is, but still all the signs are there showing he has the potential to become a very good footballer.
I will make a bold statement now...
The lad will never be world class. If Rooney isn't, Sterling never will be.
Did you not see him against us at Anfield in 2014?Really don't think this is a good buy. Yet to see him have a good game in a big match. Crossing and finishing poor. I'd rather have Walcott And I'm not a massive fan of his.
Guesswork really?
You really think Sterling will ever be as good as Reus?
I'll make a bolder statement. He will be world class. He's 20 and has already put in multiple world class performances against good sides. He'll be a star for us especially if he was linking up with Silva and Aguero.
