Hopefully he'll link up with Aguero the same way he linked up with Suarez before he left

If the lad can improve on his finishing then we've got a gem of a player and value for money
Agreed. I hope he can improve his finishing and decision making. Now he is surrounded with class players around him.

No you have a limit. If the limit is reached you walk away.

Txiki either was just trying it on, if his limit was £50m or maybe even more, or he folded under the pressure.
I guess we'll never know.

For what it's worth (fuck all really!) I personally would have gone to £40m tops.

I like you Wilf but we wouldn't have ended up with Raheem then.

Delighted with this signing, hope I'm not counting my chickens

What else are we meant to talk about then? All I have ever said is I'd rather us pay the money to sign our first choice signings than miss out over the sake of a few million because ensuring we sign top players this summer is a better strategy than having to replace inferior players next summer or the summer after. It's hardly a controversial opinion.
But you were hell bent

We got it, so after the umpteenth time, it wore thin. Still looks like we have him, so lets move on

Keep it up Txiki!

I call them fun coupons!

Good work Txiki. Sterling will be fan fucking tastic

"Liverpool have won"

Fuck me pink, they're about to lose one of if not the brightest young prospects in football let alone England. Whether the media have the balls to say it they've come out of this deal as a bunch of spiteful, arrogant fuckboys, if we didn't know that already.

Regardless of any fee they're accepting their place in the food chain by selling, again, one of if not their best players to a club that finished 15th not even 10 years ago.

Just one year ago they were acting Billy Big Bollocks with Southampton, publicly taunting them as a selling club as they poached their best players who convienently threatened to go on strike. Now fast forward a year and they're finding out how it feels.

They spunked over £100m the summer after they finished 2nd and now find themselves in the Europa League. They'll lose a chunk of the Sterling fee to QPR and whatever they're left with they'll spend on utter wank.

Flip it then...

We are gaining one of the brightest young prospects in world football let alone England. Whether the media have the integrity to say it we've come out of this as professional and successfull. Yes we may be playing by different rules than we have done but like it or not it's common place at the big boy's table. Liverpool will always have their memories of that to keep them warm at night.

We're putting a vile, disgusting club and it's fans in their place by taking one of if not their best player from them. While the player himself couldn't be any clearer that he wants to leave them for us, a team that finished 15th and 14th consecutively less than 10 years ago; a fact that makes their blood boil.

We were hindered by FFP and still finished 2nd when the likes of Liverpool who spent over £100m the same summer flopped into obscurity again. Now the shackles are off and we're beginning to bring in quality players like Sterling because we can. We may be spending £50m but that's because we not only can but because we want to. The mean lads down the pub can tease all they want.

We're getting a player we desire for a fee we not only are willing to pay buy easily can, think about that. Liverpool are losing a quality player who himself can't get out of their quick enough and their fans are resulting to death threats and racial abuse at the very thought of it... Some winners...

Nope. The team that wins is the team that keeps their best players.

Did Spurs win when Bale left or the Mickeys when Suarez departed?

Nope. They certainly didn't.
This. For once, I'm glad to say, we've gone in all guns blazing. & backed the manager's judgment 100%

We were compłaining when that Didn't happen under Mancini (I.e shaking hands on deals for RVP and DeRossi, then coming back from holiday, only to discover that Garcia & Sinclair had rocked up, into the Etihad stadium, and were claiming squatters rights). and now some are moaning because they've done the oposite, añd, supposedly, lost some sort of phoney P.R. "war," in the process... So what!!

The media were never gonna support us which ever way the saga eventually ended.
