With this deal virtually over the line I'd leave kdb alone now and go all out for pogba! With delph not coming because of potentially lack of game time! He must no that some big midfield player is coming in because he could easily get in a midfield 3 of ours at the moment! Looking at nasri's stats if he added some goals to his game we wouldn't need kdb!

Andy Dunn's piece in The Mirror today was another lazy character assassination, talking about 'owing' Liverpool and him not having a 'medal to his name'

A couple of things - don't remember any such stories when they were buying half of S'hampton's team or when they brought Sterling from QPR. And didn't it occur to Dunn that the reason Sterling has no medals was because the manager got carried away with himself(along with Gerard) in the 2014 run-in and the manager also blew he FA Cup semi V Villa?

He's had enough of being a nearly man

I can't get across what a god signing I think he will be, 20, quick, experienced in this league, knows where the net is but needs to improve that - he's going to be our Ronaldo, our Hazard - the difference

As for those 'stats' V our current players, they prove nothing. Typical Sky, creating news out of stats

So, that gossiping fucker Tolmie is to blame for Delph not coming..............?

If he scores against them (especially at Klanfield) there's a part of me that hope he stays classy and shows Liverpool what the word means, but there's also the little evil part of me that wants him to do an Adebayour.

Fuck that. I want him to whip his cock out and piss all over their subs bench, Rodgers an all, then run over to the away fans and all the scousers calling em a bunch of cunts In the most angst filled way imaginable.

Was assured Sterling would get done and same goes for Pogba.

Delph, likewise, so you can appreciate both sides of the spectrum.

Whatever the price, whoever wants to claim the bragging rights, or the moral victory...

Sterling in a Man City shirt is a very frightening prospect for every rival we will face.

And that's value for money in every respect.

Succinct as usual TH!
Who cares how much I simply want the best players at my club end of!
Wait til Kelechi gets going also......... Mouth watering !

Now we have 2 natural wingers in Navas and Sterling we'll probably introduce Nasri and Silva in to the centre now giving us, Yaya, Fernandinho, Silva, Navas and Fernando as our central midfield! Unless we go for the 4-3-3 formation that Barcelona play with Sterling and Silva on either side of Aguero but I can't see us playing that style as I don't think Silva has the legs for that kind of set-up!

Simon Mullock ‏@MullockSMirror

Txiki Begiristain's method of buying a player. 1: Ask how much. 2: Bid under asking price and have them rejected. 3: Meet asking price

Isn't that everyone's method of buying a player? Unless, like Delph, the asking price is ridiculously low then everyone will try to get their man for as little as possible. Don't ever recall anyone saying "Sorry pal, that's way too cheap"

The link up play that sterling showed when he played with Suarez was some of the best and was being lauded by the press every week. He was scoring and creating chances for Suarez nearly every game and scoring a few himself. Now he will be hopefully linking up with Merlin and Kun and will only get better

The press will close ranks and back Liverpool as they where one of the old top 4,would the bile have been as bad if he had been off to say arsenal or even the rags, next few days should see the media spin the price+wages, ruining football, bad move with euros round the corner and the old playing every week...

This!
My thoughts exactly

I'd imagine Silva and Toure are licking their lips at the prospect of this signing.

It opens up our passing game so much more. All respect to Navas but he uses his pace too predictably, Sterling equally lethal staying wide or darting in off the line. Silva and Toure will have options they've not had with us before.

I hope Sterling's composure in front of goal improves, he'll certainly get lots of practice!

We offered £30m. They said "Fuck Off we want £50m".

We offered £40m. They said "Fuck Off, you're not listening it's £50m".

We offer £50m. They said "Done Deal".

As I keep saying I'm glad we signed him but we could have signed him on day one without
all the mither and bad publicity.
You don't know whatever the actual fee or make up of the deal is!
