Me too.

Sane Aguero Sterling SAS…… 100 points

Some City fans still think he is the only player to miss a chance or two never seen a winger/forward get in a position to score or miss tap ins like him and probably never will . The only forward we have who can stretch a defence , hope he rips it up at Chelsea just to shut a few up on this thread , who have never forgiven him for the miss against Lyon .

Think we'll regret this one, but sadly he does wanna go, so there's not a lot we can do.

Hope we get someone in to replace him though I'm not sure who's available that'd live up to his standards.

Sterling would of missed the chance against Southampton in the Centurion season. Saying that if we sell Sterling along with Jesus we will be very short in squad depth regardless of who we have just signed.

Agree but there’s certainly players available on the market who could improve us - Gnabry, Leao, Raphinha.
Gnarby I like.

Leao Not so much for me

Raphinia is an interesting one. I like him but recently saw an analytical scattergram showing that the club with the worst fit in Europe for him was us!

I don't know who is out there that you can sign as a direct Sterling replacement.

But he wants to go and if he wants to go now he would presumably want to go at the end of his deal. Better to grab a fee and get his wages off the books because he was very far from being a nailed-on starter for the coming year.

I halfway wonder if you might see more of Bernardo on the right wing such as was done in the second half of the 18/19 season. Phillips, Foden, Grealish, or even McAtee picking up more of the minutes in midfield.

Pep's City have shown us that you don't necessarily "replace" a departed player - more so find other ways to use the ones you have.
A swap for Werner would be as close as you could get to a direct replacement.

Offside a lot, fast, misses chances, but gets in the positions to miss them.

It would be a big mistake if we didn't get someone to replace him. We need right winger.
If we bring in a natural LB, we’re probably going to use inverted wingers again so…

Left wing - Grealish and…? Maybe Cancelo?
Right wing - Mahrez, Foden, Palmer.

Probably a LW that we’re missing.

Dare I say the N word?

Neymar?

Good move to sell him for the numbers being touted - £50-£60m plus another £15m in saved wages is a big offset to any business we might do next summer

people saying we wont have enough are looking at how we used to play versus how we will play with Haaland in the team

that guy alone will replace Sterling and Jesus’s goals from last season plus we have an Alvarez cherry on top to make sure

plus it allows us to get minutes into Cole Palmers career and perhaps gives a pathway for Mcatee

if we can get a left back in then we should close the book on this summers transfer business

we can then have a proper run at Bellingham next summer to replace Gundogan , we’ll have £150m + burning a whole in our pocket ready to blow the scouse cnuts out of the water

Honestly Gnabry is as close to a perfect replacement you can get. He makes back post runs, he’s very quick and has a very good technical ability also has very good intelligent movement, he scores and assists. He’d be amazing in this city team. He’s also quite strong shrugs defenders off in the Bundesliga like their nothing. He’s also 26 heading into his prime
