Raising the pension age to 75

How does our state pension compare with our EU brethren? I bet if remaining meant wed get a lot more a lot earlier brexit would be toast. (sorry wrong thread)

Not great.

However most countries have a similar issue as we do.Not enough money going in long term.
Remember reading somewhere, that Germany put their pension age up to 65 as did a few others.
Edit just quickly checked 67.

No deal Brexit just makes further increases in retirement age even more likely.

I suppose we all have the same issues of an increasing and aging population and an aversion to paying more tax.

We have a higher NI rate than Norway who has better social security benefits and their pension fund is the most powerful investment vehicle in the world.

Corporation tax is relatively the same, and top rate income tax rates are higher here!

Their debt-to-GDP is also virtually nothing.

Something odd is happening.
Its called Oil.

Norway used North Sea oil cash to set up a sovereign wealth fund, Thatcher used our oil receipts to cut taxes and pave the way for her Hayekian view of how society should look. In effect we wasted our oil money quicker than the Sheikh buying Jo and Roque Santa Cruz.
