Rangers coming to Stretford

As usual, what the Rangers fans did, was brought on themselves. The screens were switched off because some arses were chucking stuff at the technicians.

And I suppose the Russian lad walked onto the end of that blade.

Brilliant.

GMP have admitted the screens were switched off because the fan zones were to crowded - the technician stuff is bollox, the plug was pulled.

And just for your information the Russian lad never walked onto the end of that blade no - for one simple reason, there was no fuckin blade. The real srory is that two Russians were rolling around having a scrap & one rolled over a bit of broken glass - maybe not sensationalist enough, but true.

But why let the truth get in the way of a good dig though eh?

-- Sun Aug 29, 2010 6:24 pm --

If the two bits in the above post are connected, it's tabloid sensationalism of the highest order.

Have a look at the Rangers/Hamburg history & see where it actually comes from. A wee hint for you, it's F all to do with St Pauli or Celtic.

As for the Israel/Palestine thing, I agree 100% the idiots in the Rangers fans who took Israel flags to the OF game in retaliation to Celtic fans Palestine flags were 100% out of order. I will admit I'm interested to see if Celtic fans will continue to wave Palestine flags even with their new Israeli midfielder?

PS "mancitytmdanttom" I guess casual racism is fine just picking on someone's religion that is wrong?

since when has 'Jock' been racist?

Ayrshire Blue has answered above.

That's what being a City fan is all about.

I hope & pray that Glasgow Rangers hammer United in both games and I will be watching while urging on the Gers .......
I don't give a toss who that offends...

bigot
orange / green
can't support 2 teams
protestant / roman catholic
scottish / northern irish / irish
scum
sectarian
go ahead reply with any of the above or anything new I don't give a monkeys i have heard it all before.I have supported MCFC over 45 years and nothing will change that.
firstly, there's no chance rangers will hammer the scum.
secondly,you don't offend me.
lastly,i've supported Celtic since, roughly 1962/3...City since 1967..what's the problem loving two teams..nothing will change me.

Right you lot....

City are playing your other team. Who do you support? Who do you put your neck on the line for? Which end do you go in? Which scarf do you wear?

You see a team of lads setting about a lad from the other team you support. What do you do? Do you go and help him? Join in with the others? Walk on by in embarrassment?

You're either a City fan or your not. Simple. If it all goes off, I want City founds round me, them watching my back, me watching theirs.

You're either with us or against us. I know who'd I'd rather be stood with in the trenches.

hope it never comes down to a City v Celtic in competition tbh.If it did,then 3-3 at Parkhead,and 2-2 at COMS.Go in whichever end i got a ticket for.Wear 2 scarves,or half/half if available.
If it was 2 or more against 1,i'd help the 1,regardless of team.
Can't people not grasp the love for City, even if they do support another team.
I've been fukn ridiculed for years in my local cos of City.Fuk them all,our day will come.

But that's the point. It's alright hoping it never comes to it, however there's a distinct possibility now we're in European competition.

It will happen at some point and you lot are gonna have to make decisions.

Now, which decision you make, I personally couldn't give a flying feck about; it's the fact that day will come and it's then it'll come home you can't support two teams.

I would sacrifice England never winning the World Cup again ever, ever, ever :-) in exchange for City winning the FA Cup just once.

I would sacrifice beer to see City win the Premier League just once.

Any other team just doesn't come anywhere near. City, first, last and always.

seems to me that it's alright to claim a soft spot for torino, atletico, schalke, but mention a scottish club and you're a scumbag. i watch most games with a preference for one team over the other but don't support either.

one of the greatest days in city's history included city fans on the kippax chanting 'rangers' and united fans on the kippax chanting celtic. it was september 23rd 1989 and don't anyone tell me this didn't take place. that's why some think we have / have had a link with the blue half of glasgow.

Being stood in the top left hand corner of the Kippax at the 5-1 demolition derby, I'm pretty confident that didn't happen.

Get together to give Rangers fans a kicking because of what they did to your city. Are you for real, what they left a bit of litter which was cleaned up by mid morning the next day.
Would have helped if Manchester had actually planned for the event in the first place.
150,000 plus people there that day, 42 arrests, 7 charged. Probably equates to 0.2% of the people there.
Put it this way, City get to the CL final, it's held in Glasgow, the city doesn't want you there, tell you not to travel, put no fan zones up until the last minute.
The weather is great, no restriction on beer, great day is had even with no tickets, the biggest day in the clubs history and just as the game is about to be put on the big screens for the 100,000 that haven't got tickets, Strathclydes finest switch the fecking screens off because the place is too crowded as they didn't cater for the amount of support.
Pissed of, you bet. Riot, no. The tiny tiny minority of rioters let Rangers down badly but the vast majority had a great day and were involved in nothing.
What they did to our city, feck off.
Abosolute shite, you try standing there whilst several hundred throw bottles containing God knows what at you. The shit houses were throwing stuff out of the shadows. Did you not see the copper being chased and beaten, did you not see the womans car get smashed up, did you not see the ambulances getting bricked.
YOU FUCKING IDIOT.
