Rangers coming to Stretford

I wouldn't dream of swamping a Rangers or a Celtic forum, mainly due to the fact I support one team, not 4 or 5 (just to hedge my bets) like the Scots/Irish seem to do which is in no small part due to the fact the 'main' teams they support are so rank.

Thanks for coming; door's that way --->

So you reckon that because i live in Northern Ireland and support MCFC that City are rank?
I support City and while I dont get to anywhere near as many games now as i used to do a few years ago (when i still had two jobs, one to pay mortgage and bills the other to pay for flights tickets for away games and season ticket for eastlands etc), i still get over to about 6 or 7 games most seasons.
From time to time i will attend an irish league game on a saturday when City are playing on the sunday, and when in scotland last year at our cricket clubs pre-season tour, when the game on the sunday was called off i visited Ibrox for the second time in my 41 years on this planet.

Sorry to offend you, but i know where the door is, but having "enjoyed" seeing johnny macken score from his own half at preston, stayed in Manchester for the tuesday evening game against grimsby, etc etc, i have no intention of getting off the "roller coaster" now, or for that matter ever.
Apologies if my post wasn't clear enough. I am basically saying City are number one and only in terms of the team I support. Sure, I've been to other grounds too etc, but more as an impartial observer rather than a fan. Sectarianism belongs north of the border, belongs in the hearts and minds of pricks and has absolutely no place at City.

That better?

do you mean opposition to everything British , the country where you live pal , or perhaps you should contemplate leaving our shores if you dislike it so much.
Eh excuse me? How about Britain leaves my shores ye prick.

everyone has a right to their opinions, I bet you Celtic fans would have less opposition to "everything British" if the British and pro Unionist Scottish establishment actually showed some respect for the club instead of trying to shut the club down for refusing to take down a tricolour and show absolute distain for the club at any oppurtunity.. Didnt just happen to Celtic either, Hibs had the same problems too and they dont even identify with Irish Republicanism. When you've had the big brave British Army wreck everything you own looking for guns because you happen to be born in a Republican area in Belfast, come telling me to respect them then.

So wise up and wash yer face.
wot a load of shite keep the n/ireland shite off this site its over ? or has it started againe ? wot no money left ?????

Sectarism doesnt belong anywhere!
I know it may be hard to believe but even Manchester was once guilty of it. You only have to go far back as the Manchester Whit Walks in
the 1970's. It is also evident in a book called the Manchester Scuttlers where it tells, of the first Protestant school being built in Salford which resulted in riots. Thankfully we have moved on.

Indeed. This whole rags are Catholic, City are prods nonsense was perpetuated by Busby when he proclaimed the rags as the Catholic club back in the 50's.

He may have played for us, but that doesn't stop me thinking what a contemptible prick he was.

I see no chapel, no temple, no alter at City. I see no religious divide and never have done (been going since 1975). I don't want these narrow-minded bigots claiming allegiance to Celtic and City or Rangers and City polluting the club.

You've only got to look at the some of the posts on this forum to see the well rounded defences of their 'culture' to see what we could be welcoming into the stands.
Everything predetermined by 'which side you are on' - what areas of a city you would visit, who you would speak to, what shops you use.

Pathetic. Backward. Insular.

Get together to give Rangers fans a kicking because of what they did to your city. Are you for real, what they left a bit of litter which was cleaned up by mid morning the next day.
Would have helped if Manchester had actually planned for the event in the first place.
150,000 plus people there that day, 42 arrests, 7 charged. Probably equates to 0.2% of the people there.
Put it this way, City get to the CL final, it's held in Glasgow, the city doesn't want you there, tell you not to travel, put no fan zones up until the last minute.
The weather is great, no restriction on beer, great day is had even with no tickets, the biggest day in the clubs history and just as the game is about to be put on the big screens for the 100,000 that haven't got tickets, Strathclydes finest switch the fecking screens off because the place is too crowded as they didn't cater for the amount of support.
Pissed of, you bet. Riot, no. The tiny tiny minority of rioters let Rangers down badly but the vast majority had a great day and were involved in nothing.
What they did to our city, feck off.
Has it never occurred to you that the police turned a blind eye to most of the fans antics because there was just so many of them? Contrary to popular belief, it was not Chelsea fans. Rangers have a reputation for going bonkers everywhere they go and do it consistently, they've done it in Manchester, they've done it in Barcelona, they've done it in Romania. Small police force vs 200,000 fans, aye they're going to try and arrest more rangers fans as 200 of them are chasing the police down the streets of Manchester City Centre.

Tiny minority my fuckin' hole. Even a "tiny minority" in a crowd of 200,000 is a lot of people!!!

Theres a room on the Right as you enter the main recepion at COMS. It use to be the supporters meeting room. The walls were covered with different supporters club banners. There on one wall and next to each other were banners from Dublin and East Belfast hanging side by side. Both supporting the same cause CITY!

I hope & pray that Glasgow Rangers hammer United in both games and I will be watching while urging on the Gers .......
I don't give a toss who that offends...

The old firm have got there favourites with this derby game in Germany.Celtic/St Pauli,Rangers/ Hamburg. They have even taken sides in the Israel and Lebanon struggle.Clowns of the highest order.

If the two bits in the above post are connected, it's tabloid sensationalism of the highest order.

Have a look at the Rangers/Hamburg history & see where it actually comes from. A wee hint for you, it's F all to do with St Pauli or Celtic.

As for the Israel/Palestine thing, I agree 100% the idiots in the Rangers fans who took Israel flags to the OF game in retaliation to Celtic fans Palestine flags were 100% out of order. I will admit I'm interested to see if Celtic fans will continue to wave Palestine flags even with their new Israeli midfielder?

PS "mancitytmdanttom" I guess casual racism is fine just picking on someone's religion that is wrong?

since when has 'Jock' been racist?

Jock in itself is not racist.

Calling someone a "Jock Bastard" i.e. discriminating against their nationality, is racist. Much the same as if I were to come on here and tag you all as "English Bastards" - which i'm not btw.

Good for you.

It must be like being unable to decide if you're gay or straight and settling for being bisexual supporting two clubs.
