RB Leipzig (A) | Post Match Thread

I really feel for Haaland,I bet he’s wondering like me and the rest of you lot what the fuck is going on
Bayern or Real would have been a much better option for him. Can see him and Alvarez both wanting to leave in the summer.

Oh here we go. We’re away in the CL against a team who are very good at home. They aren’t canon fodder. You have to face spells at this level where you’ll be under heavy pressure. That’s how elite football matches work. You don’t just pass the ball around for 90 minutes without them touching the ball. It was a solid performance overall with a good result and we’re in a great position to go through with our excellent CL home record.
Elite football, and any sport in fact, is about putting teams away when you’re well on top and not letting the opposition back into the tie.

The failure to do that against Madrid last season - when we should have finished the tie in the first leg - is why we didn’t win the competition last year. We’ve now created a very tricky game at home against a team which looks set up to counter attack, all because we we were happy playing passive, negative football tonight, with the manager doing nothing to address the situation even while things were obviously going wrong in the second half.

you could hear Pep screaming his name on my feed while the game was going on....not sure what Haaland can do unless it was about the fact that haaland was clearly getting frustrated and Pep wanted him to calm down?

Probably telling Gundogan and Silva that he’s on our side and we can pass to him.

Good first half - Haaland would have been more involved if Walker wasn't shite in the final third.

Second half - Leipzig much better, increased the intensity and we couldn't match it.

Have absolutely no clue what Pep was playing at. None whatsoever. He can be annoyed about the players after the game as much as he wants, but it's within his wheelhouse to change it during the game. Mahrez and the midfield did nothing second half, except struggle. Haaland might as well give up. Pep was absolutely terrified of bringing on more direct players, that he seemed oblivious to the chances we were leaking with knackered control players.

Sorry, but tonight tells us that it's over for Pep. Thanks for some amazing years, but it's obvious that 10 mins before Lepzeig equalized that changes needed to be made and he did fuck all again.

We have a worldie striker, and we can't get the ball to him, that's poor coaching from Pep. We have a big squad and he won't make a sub, we piss about around the box and then pass back before the half-way line.

Not a chance we win the Cl with Pep, sorry but he's a stubborn old goat who refuses to change and he will cost us the league this season.
Oh do fuck off

Harsh, but I'm afraid, true.

Nice venting and ignoring of the fact EUFA is against City.

You saw it vs Liverpool in 18.
You saw the Llorente handball in 19.
You saw the foul on Laporte in 20.
You saw KDB nearly get beheaded in 21.

Pep is doing this because he wants us to SURVIVE to somehow win by attrition.

It's clearly RIGGED for us to fail.

All because Man City owners are BROWN!

You can blame Pep for fuck all but the truth is he's the only one willing to atleast try with rigged odds!

Things won't magically change with the next manager! It'll be the same till we have Shiekh Mansour!
