Think we already have an idea on what's going to happen. They will sit deep and probably hit us counter 3 or 4 times scoring at least twice. We will dominate the game but struggle to create chances I'd be more for a disciplined performance don't commit to many forward and leave is exposed against there very fast forwards. Take the draw if need be and finish the job at home.

Ederson

Walker
Dias
Ake
Laporte

Rodri
Phillips
Kdb
Foden
Bernardo

Haaland

Been thinking about how our game goes to pieces for about five minutes when we concede. It's happened several times in recent seasons, in games we were completely controlling. And with disastrous results. It really shouldn't be happening, with players as experienced as ours.
Yes, the thing is when we concede and concede more in quick succession. happened in many of our CL exits. Spurs tie, Monaco tie, Lyon one off game, Real last year both games.

even derby after Rashford/Fernandes sick offside goal we just let in another one quickly after.

these mentality/panic issues need to go away before we win our first CL.

It's better not to put too much stock on winning the CL. Get a bit of consistency and we can run Arsenal down.
The task of winning the CL looks less complicated than winning the PL this year. It's still huge tasks.

See zero chance of Phillips starting this game indeed I will be amazed if he gets anywhere near the pitch.

ortega in net please. we cannot keep conceding with our first shot on target.

in the cup games v liverpool and chelsea he looked more than capable and made some fantastic saves.
Would ortega have stopped the forest goal?

Ah, the Champions League. I want it so badly, but have stopped daring to hope. It'll only end in tears again.

We have to put out our best lineup. No faffing about with false fullbacks or elbow back fours. Unfortunately, Pep will Pep (he didn't do anything mad in the CL last year and will look to make up for lost time), and we're likely to see a lunatic decision from him at some point or another.

Walker/Dias/Laporte/Ake

De Bruyne/Rodri/Bernardo

Mahrez/Haaland/Grealish

It won't happen, but I think Ederson needs to be taken out of the firing line. It's for his own good, as well as ours. Everything has been flying past him recently, and he needs to learn he's not undroppable. A benching may be the way to clear his head.

In buildup, Bernardo has to drop into the DM space alongside Rodri to offer himself as an option. Off the ball, he has the energy to get himself further up the pitch to press Leipzig from higher. Gundogan is more technically secure, but he doesn't have the legs to do that.

I think we'll be in for a rough time. Leipzig are a very dangerous team, and we all saw last season that they can sting us pretty nastily.

Hate to say it but I agree. No idea over the last 2 months how we are going to do in any game against any opponent.
I'd be happy with the fa cup and a top 4 finish personally but I can see going out in the semi finals of that like usual.
