"really poor performance" is a huge overstatement, I am sorry. we were brilliant going forward. End of the day we didn't even give away that many chances, leipzig literally scored 3 from 3 shots on target.

Have to disagree, thought they were terrible defensively as were we. Like I said though take the win.

Still think people are overexaggerating how "poor" we defended. leipzig had 3 chances and converted all of them, none of them were easy chances either. questions to ederson.

For all the grief he’s getting I think you can trace all three of their goals to midfielders losing it and putting an overload on the back four.

The defence has a job to do. You can't always blame everybody else when we concede. That 2nd the defence marking was woeful. Ake should have stepped forward earler, Zin had the man on the back post. I'm not just blaming Ake, but the defence are not picking up men that can see right in front of them. Bad decision making and that is soley down to them.

Bit of an odd one that.

It felt like they pressed better than we did over the 90, and played a little to easily thru us on occasion.

But we hit six, arguably should've been more!

okay, well I don't. 1st goal he's not covering the attacker, second goal he's not covering the run, 3rd goal he overcommits, mistimes his tackle and leaves space in behind.

It all trickles down. not everything is his fault all the time but our defense as a unit works far worse with him on the pitch. maybe it's lack of experience.

First 2 aren’t his fault at all.
First one Zinchenko gets done at the back stick.
Second one is nowhere near Aké. Where was Dias?
Third I’ll agree he mistimed the tackle but Zinchenko doesn’t cover him and Ederson is beaten far too easily.

It’s really easy to scapegoat players and I don’t think Aké deserves it.
