The FA know they have a poor standard of refs but the only thing they can really do is protect their poorest ones, like Attwell, Foy and Walton, because who else do they have?

It's like Liverpool w/Suarez, they picked the wrong option in protecting their asset wrongly, that backfired too.

If the FA see protecting the egos of their referees as being more important than ensuring fair play then that's their problem not ours, and shouldn't stop the club appealing this obvious mistake.

It's nothing like Liverpool with Suarez. He was guilty of using insulting and racist language and Liverpool's defence of him is almost as bad as the offence itself.

And the FA's defending of obvious refereeing mistakes by rejecting fair appeals is as bad as the offence(mistake) itself.

Hence they're very similar, the FA have decided to protect their referees rather than admit they have a serious problem and thus have to constructively deal with it.

They have the batch of referees they have, any lower down the food chain are there for a reason.

My only point really was just to dispell this myth that all 2-footed challenges are automatically illegal.

We all know and agree that a two footed tackle is NOT an automatic red - is it an automatic yellow the difficulty and the subjective bit is what constitues excessive malice in the challenge

"A player who jumps into a tackle two-footed is not in control of himself and therefore if he makes contact with the player, ball and player, or if the referee determines there to be excessive malice in the challenge, he will be dismissed.

Fot for whatever fookin reason can only have considered Vinny tackle to be excessive because he only made contact with the ball.

Can we just discuss the various ins and outs of the sending off, rather than threatening all sorts against Foy, we are better than that much better than that!

Foy deserves everything he gets. Better than that...you mean, what will others think.

Well fuck the lot of em, we need to look after ourselves and stop being so respectful as its obviously only one way.
I loathe the way Ferguson and Utd players especially Rooney conduct themselves on the pitch, and in the pre-match build up, but it works, and they bend refs their way. Maybe we should conclude that if you can't beat them join them? Forwards now routinely dive and go down because they say everyone else does it

We lost the game when (a) Balotelli and Dzeko were unfit and Yaya was told he couldn't play, and (b) when Mancini (quite understandably) decided at 0-3 it was better to take Silva and AJ off.

If I was to be harsh I would also add (c) playing Kolorov instead of Clichy.

I just cannot agree with (b) at all.

One of the reasons why if that sub-human piece of pond slime that is Rooney were to ever join our club, I think I would actually stop supporting us.

Be interesting to know who sits on these appeals. wwwthefa.com vague

Disciplinary Commissions are comprised of three Disciplinary Committee
members plus a member of the specialist panel comprised of former players,
managers, referees and administrators. The composition of each Disciplinary
Commission is decided by the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee.

It's not a two footed challenge as Kompany is in control at all times.
First the ball is won before Nani gets anywhere near the ball.
Secondly from every angle Kompany MAKES sure his left leg is no where near Nani.
Thirdly his right foot only comes up in the air after Nani has gone by.

Sadly there is no chance this will be rescinded - especially as the Wolves one wasn't over Christmas. Statistically, Kompany has a 1.5% chance of getting off. Any organisation that rules on appeals that harshly has a problem.

They'd probably give us a fairer hearing than some of the pundits who are supposed to present an objective view to their listeners and readers

At least we've got 1 ref on our side, Poll is saying it was never a red.
