Re: Kompany's red card and appeal? (merged)

if rodwells isnt a red the vinnies isnt a red. perhaps we can use that clip as evidence in the appeal

If the panel find in favour of Kompany the red card stays in force, the card is only ever rescinded in the case of mistaken identity. (ie the card's penalty points and punishment are transferred to another player)

Kompany will have that red card on his stats forever

The Regulatory Commission that considers a claim of wrongful dismissal is concerned with only the question of whether any sanction of a suspension from play is one which should be imposed in view of the facts of the case. This role is not to usurp the role of the Referee and the dismissal from the Field of Play will remain on the record of the Club and the Player, will remain the subject of the administration fee and will accrue the appropriate number of penalty points for a first team sending off .

If successful however, his next sending off would be a 4 match ban, and not a 5 match ban

Surely in our defence we can say even Nani the biggest rentboy play-acting fucking pansy twat in the league wasn't even complaining when Vinnie cleanly tackled him

I dont know if this story has been on herem can't see it, but 99.8% says it will stay red!

All the comments about Rooney's role in all of this have reminded me about something Roy Little said (included in my book The Pride Of Manchester, published 1991).

He was talking about the 1955 FAC Manc derby - the only other FAC derby played at City.

That day Utd's capt was sent off for something he said. Little and the rest of the City players urged the ref not to send him off/reverse his decision.

How times have changed!

Well i have just done a little research and watched Rodwell's (recinded) and mIlijan's (not recinded ) and i confidently predict that i ain't got a fookin clue how the appeal will go

Now in our favour is at no time was Vinny going into the tackle with studs showing whereas on both the above incidents that is not the case. Also at no time was any contact made with Nani again unlike above.

Against us is the fact he did leave the ground with both feet for a short amount of time

Now again in our favour is the fact that at no time did Nani have the ball under control in fact he hadn't even touched it (it could be argued that the situation arose due to a poor pass from one of the rags)

Also Nani continued to play and didn't even ask for a foul

Anyway as i said above aint got a scooby which way it will go.

I'm with you on this one. Having made many a similar tackle and had them made on me (Back when football used to be a man's game) I would be f*cking amazed if this is not rescinded. These days who the f*ck knows?

All I can say is Foy got it totally wrong, until wiggy opened his gob it wasn't even a foul (and it wasn't anyway).

Used to be the way the game was played, I remember Kevin Moran being the first player to be sent off in a cup final (for the rags) and every other player including the one fouled {Peter Reid IIRC} asking the ref not to show a card.

How times have changed.
