FIFA/FA are ruining the tackle for everyone

Lets be honest most of us over years playing football have been in a fully blooded tackle over the years. The art of the tackle and technique is going out of the game. Thanks mainly to Fifa if they had it there way football would be a non contact sport.

Now you see the keepers are protected you cant go up with a keeper and try to win the ball the slightest contact and its given as a free to the keeper more often than not. So you cant touch the keeper and now you cant tackle. Well whats the next step for Fifa to do ban a sliding tackle its on its way I would guess by the next World Cup you wont be able to slide in on a player.

Football is gone soft these days. Whats the difference between intent to winning the ball in a controled manner. To intent on winning the ball in wet conditions you will win that ball as much as in a controled manner the conditions will let you. At the weekend with the conditions no body would of been in control of there tackles so most of the players should maybe have ended up with more bookings than what was given out.

Fifa are a joke but so to are the FA. On any appeal you should be given as much information from the former players who have retired from football and there views on the tackle and how dangerous or not it is. The FA have been pro goal line tech and rightly so. Sadly there will come a time when you have to make a stand for the most important part to a game of football winning the ball back. IF they keep going the way they are more and more people will get pissed off with the poor decisions on any other day the red cards that were given to Kompany and the Wolves player would not have stood with another ref. Sadly if your not able to get a positive appeal even when everyone watching and pundits around the place have all called that the tackle was clean and fair how is football ever going to keep the tackle in the game.

It makes the blood boil what they get away with year in, year out.

If karma is real then it is going to hit that club in the most severe way possible some day. Maybe all these injuries they've had is just the start.

Bloody disgrace. The FA are a spineless sham of an organisation.

They've just made a decision that 90% of the footballing world disagrees with. That's the absolute opposite of 'spineless'.

Total inconsistency, that's the real problem. People need to start raising these fouls the referee 'didn't see' and persuade the FA to take retrospective action. Only way forward.

Also all the top referees and players want sending off to do a week's course together to get a thorough and consistent understanding of the rules. And in future rules should be applied equally to all teams, including Stretford, and when Fergie makes out-of-order comments he should be told to fuck off and fined £500,000 a pop. (Preferably given to a charity of my choice.)
