Right ive explained that the system isnt linked to the main system, but the main system can access the website. Why has it got to be real time ?

People buying tickets hava a set period to complete the transaction, if they do not the tickets are put back on the site for sale. Its easy and how Ticketmaster sell all of their tickets.

so what the ticket office see and what we see are in no way the same. If you want to buy a ticket from the web site you buy from the website allocation.

if you buy on the phone you buy from their allocation, if you phone the club and not the ticket line, you save a booking fee and have the ability to book any seat in the stadium. unless they are being told to push certain areas

so it is working in real time on the allocation the website is allowed to sell at the time, that bears no reflection of the actual ammount of tickets on sale.

So in effect counting the seats on the website, is pissing in the wind.
Look the only area where significant numbers of tickets remain is North Stand Level 2.

And we know this because this time all but Colin Bell L2 went up on the on-line planner so anyone who wanted to could log on and have a look at how the sales were going

There isn't a separate supply of tickets unless the new ground has been built in secret

No one is suggesting their is a secret supply is their.

I find it amazing that the concept of not releasing every ticket on the website at once is blowing your mind.

North stand did'nt go up straight away and people where saying their is only xxx ammount of tickets left, then as if by a miracle another whole new shiny stand was bulit (by your explanation) called the North stand.

I dont think their is any major rush and the website is historicaly wrong, anyone remember the threads every week where some one counted all the seats ???

the reason that stopped was because it changed on a daily basis.

and Didsbury Dave......... An apology for what ??

still think it should have been 1st come first served rather than opening areas up willy nilly.

All yellow blocks on the OS planner. 115 seats in total. Can't be arsed counting NS level 2. Still plenty of seats left.

Only Monday, so expect the 3rd tier/s to be opened up. Be interesting to see what they charge.

Not you mate!

Swps back accused me of lying when isaid my dad had been offered no alternative but the front of the north stand this afternoon. Your post confirms what I said.

Could you do me the favor of just clarifying that that could have happened, given your clear description of the clubs policy of allocating blocks at different times to the various outlets?

Because it did happen and I didn't lie.

i dont work in the ticket office personaly, but my mate tells me thats how they do it.

yeah its quite reasonable to expect something along those lines to take place, given how he explained it to me. And no matter what argument anyone pits saying that its wrong, well he is employed in the ticket office and spends all day everyday doing this.

What you said happened to your dad is no different to when i asked for my own SC seat for Villa. I was told that because i missed the reserve date, they then played the leaving it late card. Then told me level one North stand only, once we got in i looked up found the entire block i sit in had about 30 people in it, and my seat and the 4 others who come with me where empty.

They are told to hit targets on what area to sell, more so since the fall out from Notts County.

So in fact the reason we have these issues, is in part thanks to all the real fans who complained about the north stand

Thanks mate. That's that one put to bed then.

Over to you swps back ;-)

All men should be big enough to say sorry and acknowledge they were wrong

how's this not a sell out ? Only on espn , so the tv audience will be small . Who's not going? Quarter final and carn't sell out should look good to our owners . And were all moaning about getting a bigger stadium !
