Ready meal curries

Speak as you find I used to love them. One of the few hot meals I can make myself. Tried searching everywhere but cannot find them, B&M bargains used to do the chicken version up to about 3 years ago but just not the same.
Morrisons sell them, well the one in Denton did I bought a couple a few months ago as a nostalgia thing and enjoyed it along with Chow mein with crispy noodles

Bhajis and prawn toast are two things I’ll never order or buy again after making my own. It’s 2/3 minutes work for something so much better than takeaway versions that it’s barely recognisable as the same food.
No mate, I try to make them exactly as you describe, crispy bits sticking out, it's rare these days to get them like that in a restaurant, usually just stodgy pre-made stuff, no different to supermarket ones.
Good shout for Pakoras, will definitely give some veg ones a go before I try with chicken.

Cheers. I hope Morrisons are still doing them when I get home. I recall they have a shelf life of around 2 years and if that’s the case I will buy the shop out.

They the boil in the bag curries? We use to have the birdseye ones as kids and the fish in sauce haha lovely they were.
I still eat the cod in butter sauce one as the go to meal from the freezer when there is nothing fresh in. The cod is about 1/2 the size it used to be, so now I have to have 2. I think it’s the butter sauce that does it for me.

They're in Asda but they're about £3, fuck that, they used to be a quid in B&Ms. They're shit but less shit than a pot noodle, apart from the time element involved in getting it to a plate.
As a special treat on a Saturday night I can just about stretch to £3 particularly as the local curry house now charge £36 for a takeaway for 2. Pre Covid it was around £21.

With mash and garden peas, top comfort/nostalgia food.
That’s it, but at this time of year if the wife can’t be arsed doing mash, new potatoes squashed in to the sauce with frozen peas comes a close second.
