Correct me if I'm being stupid here, but this makes very little sense to me.
I mean for a start you can just completely disregard the "A beats B, and B beats C, so A beats C, rules of conkers" paragraph in the middle. It is, as every knows, just misguided football fan nonsense.
But anyway, my point is, they're openly admitting that our incredible home record doesn't stem from the opposition's fear of an intimidating atmosphere created in the stands which transforms professional footballers into rabbits in the headlights that are shining all around them, but it seems that they somehow see this as a positive (????)
They're admitting that we don't need a night of uncharacteristic craziness from visiting teams to create or keep this record. No twelfth man is required by our team. Normally dependable teams, or individuals, freezing in fear with their eyes as big as saucers is achieved at the Etihad simply by the applications of the eleven on the pitch. And that's a positive to them???? Wow.
I see it as the complete opposite.
It should be a cause of huge concern for them in my opinion.
