i would imagine walker was probably fit enough for the leeds match but was held back? If we can have a back 4 of walker, dias, laporte and cancelo then we are instantly better than we were in the home leg?!

Just listened to The Totally Football Show and they all think Real will go through...just because. Literally can't name a reason, just know what will happen.

I swear to god the reaction to last week's game is one of the most ludicrous I can remember. I've never known a match where one team absolutely battered the other and scored 4, should have scored 8 and the consensus is that team will lose the reverse fixture.
Every single bit of build up in the English media i've seen over the last few days has Madrid going through. They nearly all reluctantly say City could well go through, but all end with they have a feeling Madrid will qualify. Nothing really to back that up with other than Madrid are dangerous and suddenly we have a bad defense. All forgetting City ripped Madrid to shreds for 90 minutes and 2 of their 3 goals were down to brain farts from normally solid players.

In the 1958 US musical "Damn Yankees", an obsessive Washington Senators fan agrees to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for his team beating his hated New York Yankees and winning the title.

Would you sell your soul to ensure that City win the CL?
I sold mine many years ago for City to win something. Then for fucking year’s nothing! But when he finally got around to me and my City dreams I think he’s doing a grand job.

When you wish your soul away, don’t despair if things don’t happen straight away, he’s very busy with all the requests he gets!

Walker being fit removes any doubt that we will progress for me.
I agree when we're not in possession that Kyle is a big boost although I do worry about him in terms of playing out of their press when he's on the ball. That's obviously not his strong suit and pressing/causing turnovers is arguably Vini Jr's strong suit. Should be a hell of a battle between them.

Ederson
Walker Dias Laporte Cancelo
Bernardo Rodri Kevin
Mahrez Foden Jesus

I'd prefer Zinchenko at LB but I don't think there's a chance Pep does that.

Would also prefer Jesus on the left as I think he has the traits to give Carvahal is tougher go than Phil can right now.

1-1 in the end is my guess.

If he was fit for Leeds, surely he would have been on the bench and given 10 mins at the end, rather than Bernardo ? He’s missed 5 games, don’t think he’ll go from not being in the match day squad at the weekend, to starting at Madrid a few days later.

I’ll be more than happy if he’s on the bench. The more experienced senior players we have on the bench who could come on without reducing the quality of the team, the better.

Can’t afford chances missed in this game and sterling for all his will miss chances when we need them . Mahrez needs to be on the right but pep might surprise and put sterling on

Same lineup with minor full back shuffle is fine for me, but my most fear is ..... 'Pep's brand new tactic'!

What they really mean is it's what they hope will happen. They're terrified we're going to spoil Liverpool's quadruple.
