I thought the same. But VAR did not dwell on it so didn't get a long enough look

It seems like it’s getting worst every season. I mean tonight was just heartbreaking, nothing can compare to it. But all the other games other the years have left us with all sorts of emotions. Liverpool bartering us, last minute goal rules offside against Spurs, losing to a shit Lyon team, Pep choosing the wrong team in Porto. Every single emotion possible right there. Monaco was a rollercoaster too.

Hopefully some time in the future we’ll look back on these games and laugh while we’re on a good run of winning it.

People have short memories. We went to Madrid ten years ago with Yaya, Vinny, Dave, and conceded two in the final couple minutes to lose 3-2.

It's a cup competition and pressure can do funny things to the very best of players, seen it throughout history.

I'm not even that gutted, shocked, yes, but we didn't defend well enough over the two games in the vital moments.

We won a league title with two goals, deep in to injury time, it's why football can be incredible and cruel in equal measure.

Certain situations need to be addressed and they will be, others like the delusion Dias is a world class defender on the right with Laporte, who chokes in the biggest moments, are a worrying trend.

Toward the end of that game we were both physically and mentally shot. If we’re unable to retain possession, then the lack of pace and legs in midfield is evident and then the frailties in defense become exposed. The best teams know that the sooner they get us playing up and down the length of the pitch, then they’ll get their chance.

I’m afraid we’re stuck in a position where our football is designed to win by suffocating the opponent in their half, but it has an inherent design fault when the opponent has legs in the middle and pace up front. Buying a striker in the summer should see us take our chances, but it will ironically expose the midfield more.

So true...we get any attacks without walker and stones...scary. i love Laporte when were winning and stones and walker are there. Yes hes our best ball playing cb ..BUT...

Pretty typical to half a knee jerk reaction, game in the bag with 89mins on the clock and two balls in the back Madrid going for it ball fall favourable it’s all square! When can look at the point we lost the ball for those crosses but Grealish was marking two on the wing for the second goal the delivery was great! Out problem is as team we defend in the box we never double up on the wings to stop crosses! For me crosses are more dangerous and unpredictable they scored 3 goals from crosses!

Pep will analyse that game and he will look at how we lost the ball and the chances opportunities we missed. For me it’s the lack of a top striker we are out it’s one season two many without one it’s catches up with you at the highest level.

Now let’s win our next fours games win the title for the fourth time in five years!

Woke up this morning and I’m absolutely gutted, 2 mins of fucking madness, Pep did nothing wrong this is on the players. Ok we concede one but then we get the kick off to restart how the fuck do they get the ball and score again, naivety doesn’t come close, you start diving like they did etc. I hate this competition with a passion but if we lose the league from here then it’s not just a goal scorer we need it’s defensive coach.

I have said for a long time now our defence is brittle in key moments. Lads keep firing back about the Stats but for me shit shows like last night are never far away for us as we seem to have a soft core.

True but two of those were playing up the park. Watch the difference Camavinga made for them when he came on; he could take and carry the ball huge distances which exposed us even more. We just don’t have a midfielder that can shuttle like that because we’re set up to play our way.

I know this sounds a bit overdramatic but personally I was seriously worried about a load of pissed up scousers in paris picking off a few blues here & there (& lets face it they have plenty of history on that front) so if its saved one blue from a beating off those scum thats got to be good,

Don’t know about Laporte he moaned about games time and pep never if ever drops him Fernandinho had his say about being involved pep starts involve him more! For more Ake deserved his chance after performing well, would of liked to see Dias Ake and Dias stones is our best pairing it’s just shame stones gets injured so often.
