it's something we have to learn ourselves ? The dark arts and killing the game and time
sometimes we are too nice and don't do ourselves any favours by not killing the game the ugly way

players falling down with fake injuries or so-called cramp then just before the players is on his feet again fake the sub's wanting to come on and wave him back only to go down again at the far end of the pitch ?

We have seen it happening in the Premier League with Southampton and other copying it takes the sting out of the game ? get a player to fake an injury and refuel the other players, but it also stops the momentum of the team on the front foot

For their first goal, Ederson waited for the ball to come to him & in a flash Rodrygo stole in & turned the ball past him. For their aggregate equaliser, he rose like a fuckin salmon & not even a brick wall was gonna stop that bullet header. For the penalty, I swear Dias's studs touched the ball, but VAR gave it.

To get to within 8 mins of the Champions League Final with no strikers & such a small squad is nothing short of amazing. Hopefully we'll resolve the striker issue, get a world class CDM & a right back as understudy to Walker because I see Cancelo as a better Left Back than Right.

I'm gutted, but it's gone. Newcastle is a massive game on Sunday, & it would have been regardless of last night's result. We gotta pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, lick our wounds & go again.

We were by far the better team, but in football you don't win points for performances, it's all about putting the ball in the onion bag. In this respect Real did it 6 times & we only managed it 5. There's our problem & it's been our issue for the last 2-3 seasons.

Last night was the epitome of a match where a world class strikeforce would have create something from nothing & possibly made the difference. We'll hopefully plug these holes for next season. For now it's all about Newcastle. )(

I didn’t sleep a wink, kept seeing their players names in my head over and over. That’s got to be the worst result we’ve suffered in my days and I’m 57.
I just hope the players & Peps heads don’t drop but I fear they will and we’ll end the season with nothing, all the bullshit media against us time after time must surely be starting take its toll, I know it has with me.
Always a Blue but feeling down and out today.

‘All good winning games against Everton and Watford’ ffs you do know we have a very good chance of winning the Premier League again? That wound be 3 out of the last 4 seasons. Some of the attitude from our fans is frankly pathetic.

He is the identikit Pep player, but his starts are gradually reducing. He may want more game time ?

We all love Raheem, but is he ever going to become the deadly player in the box we anticipated ? He's another one who plays Pep's 'keep the ball on one side of the pitch to draw the opponents out of shape' to perfection. At his age, he'll want more game time.

We made mistakes against AM but still won. Lfc fuck up all the time but still manage to win. Mistakes can be reduced, to ours and lfc's level but they ALWAYS happen.. It's whether luck is for or against you in those (reduced) fuck up moments

Last nights game was just bad luck, dodgy ref, and RM. Another night we win that.

Mistakes happen fine, but when it's the same players making the same mistakes time and time again then there's a serious problem.
 
Here is a clip of a goalkeeper making a 65 yard assist. 6 seconds from keeper to back of the net. If it's a minimum of 3 minutes 3 minutes should have been played. He played 2.51. Yes I'm bitter!

I'm 61 and the result is making me feel ill. I also hardly slept.

It was obvious (even to me) that all we needed to do was play keep ball, take no chances in giving the ball away and if necessary kick it into row z.
Crossing the ball straight to Courtois, well...

Only downfall in your argument is that Ederson was and continues to be one of the main reasons we can play the style and level of football we play, a style and level which has helped us win the last two PL titles (and hopefully a consecutive third) and get to the final and semi final of the CL. So without him we likely wouldn't be even playing the game last night for the mistake to be made in the first place. He is a human being not a robot, people make mistakes, he makes mistakes, we all make mistakes. He is probably in the top 3 keepers in the world, who else would you bring in who is, a) better than him, b) doesn't fundamentally change the way we play, in terms of him pretty much playing as an outfield player and allowing us to confidently break presses from the back? There just isn't anyone better. Everyone makes mistakes, even if you think he was to blame, surely he deserves more chances.

Speak for yourself, I think he is an awful player and keeping the ball is exactly what he doesn’t do.
