Realistic expectations for the remainder of the season

A lot of people saying top 3 so my question would be who do these people think will push us to 3rd
fair dos Chelsea seem to be running away with it but who's going to get 2nd over us

For the remainder I would like us to push Chelsea all the way and claim at least 2nd
Win the FA cup
and if we dont get through the UCL and go into the Europa get to the semis at least
The Rags will push us close. They've had their bad run, and the win over Palace has galvanised them. Expect a 10 match unbeaten run from them............

Being a City fan of 45+ years, I have no "expectation" whatsoever. I hope that we can still challenge for the title but, more realistically, that we will finish top 3, that we will qualify in the CL but, more realistically, that we will progress in the Europa and that we will get a decent run in the FA Cup.

Achieve that and I'll regard it as a successful season.

We need a good 4, 5-0 against someone, put some confidence back into the team. Cant wait till March when Dzeko normally hits form.

Expectations? Qualify to knock out stages of CL, win the league and FA Cup and stuff the rags in their own back yard. Then I can sing 'Scum decime que se siente, tener en casa a tu papa.........Aguero es mas grande que Rooney

Without sounding too negative I would be content with finishing 2nd now and maintaining our qualification for the Champions League again. If we can manage a morale boosting win against Bayern I still have a sneaky feeling we still progress in the Champions League (No I'm not p**sed) Obviously a good run in the FA Cup again is paramount if we fail to progress in Champions League.

We cannot underestimate the importance of qualifying for the Champions League, despite the apathy towards the competition. Luckily the other so called top teams are having a bad run of form at present, so we shouldn't be worried about not qualifying.

Like the Chairman said at the start of the season we might have to take a pinch this year and just consolidate. The next 2 transfer windows are going to be vital in my opinion, we need some World Class talent to come in and inject some fresh impetus within the squad. I'm 100% behind Pellegrini despite some baffling tactical decisions of late. We have to be careful what we wish for if we decide to get rid. If the right man came along such as Guardiola then maybe we would have to consider but there is no one out there at the moment. Klopp would be a big risk in my opinion. Lets just ride out the storm and hopefully things will come good again

The bookies on some markets have us 1/25 for qualifying for next years Chumps League.

While I think that's a bit tight myself it seems that the sides like Spurs, Everton, Liverpool, Manure and maybe Arsenal are not up to the standards they set last year.

It could be the year for a new player like Southampton to come on the scene but maybe a bit too early to call.
