I think before the summer commenced we would have all said maybe a reserve lb, cb, dynamic cm, couple of wingers and then possible a st depending on who we sold.

With regards to the LB position ideal to me would be Luke Shaw. He is young, english and as shown last season he would get a good 20 plus games a season at least to develop.

CB - I know people lament the prospect of Pepe but he is a real warrior, he can also playing holding midfield so provides plenty of options.

CM- Fernandinho already signed.

Wingers - Navas signed. Then Di Maria would be ideal, should settle with the Argentine boys already here and having him and Navas would mean any defence would be having nightmares.

ST - Higuain is the man for me, he is a lethal predator and has suited the 4-3-3 formation at Madrid since he moved. Pellegrini has worked with him before and he flourished under him.

I desperately want City to hijack the Higuain deal.

The man is a model professional. Works hard. Has good technique. Has a similar goal scoring record to Tevez. Has player under Pellegrini previously.

I just can't see any negatives to signing him. He should only cost around £20m. Cavani and Napoli have taken the piss and Lewendowski wants to play for Bayern.
