Why would we need to do that when we already pay top dollar to our top earners?

If we were handing out "brown envelopes" and making "off the book payments" every club we have signed players from, their agents and the players themselves would have to be in on it too.

It's a line that a few of them on there have come out with after Pep last renewed his contract. As you say, it beggars belief. Right up there with the clown on that forum who claimed someone told him that City were involved in the sinister activity of having people following UEFA officials around. It did make me wonder why someone would tell a random fuckwit on Red Cafe instead of informing the police!
