Actually it does if the offence is stopping a promising attackI’m all for playing advantage, but that doesn’t preclude the referee from going back and booking players. Twice today against West Ham.

First one was when Doku was grabbed round the neck, second one was a shirt pull on Alvarez if I am not mistaken? The refs don’t seem to getting any better?Actually it does if the offence is stopping a promising attack
Shirt pull definitely falls into the 'no yellow card because advantage was played rule'First one was when Doku was grabbed round the neck, second one was a shirt pull on Alvarez if I am not mistaken? The refs don’t seem to getting any better?
"Forgot"If the referee plays advantage following an offence that would have resulted in a red or yellow card being shown, the card must be shown next time the game stops. However:
I presume Madley forgot the laws today
- if the offence was denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, a yellow card is shown instead of a red card as playing advantage allowed the attack to continue
- if the offence was stopping a promising attack, no card is shown as playing advantage allowed the attack to continue
Yeah, the point being he should play advantage, then go back and give a yellow at the next break in play, he failed twice on Saturday.Actually it does if the offence is stopping a promising attack
Came here to post that. Thought ref's had lines of where they're supposed to be to keep them out of the action. Don't just stand in the middle of our passing lanes you doofus. So many times he was stood right next to Rodri in the middle of the pitch today it made me angry.Madly kept getting in the way.
Love that Alvarez nutmegged Madley before playing in Bernardo in the build up to Haaland’s goal.Came here to post that.
