Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Im interested in your reason why you think he did that?
If it was to fuck us over its because..
hes a spurs fan
He hates city
He was told by the prem league to do us if he can.
He was told by var in his ear piece to blow.
He was bribed

So which is it?
It was very similar in timing to the Luis challenge in the Chelsea home game where Alty was poised to blow for the foul (which would have resulted in a sending off), and then he carried on as if nothing happened. That was CLEARLY a voice in his ear, and I believe that's what happened yesterday.

In my opinion that decision was NOT made on the field of play.

Sorry that's bullshit mate, he can bring the game back if Jack didn't get it, why blow?
And I've watched it, and think your answer is bullshit mate ;)

If he's doing it on purpose, why not just blow the first time, when no-one is going to argue about advantage?

Someone suggested it's panic - and I don't think that's the right word. It's making a fast decision under stress, and getting it wrong.

If you don't believe football is corrupt, ask a Ukraine fan, player, official.
Alexander Cefferin stated 'Italy must qualify for Euro 2024, otherwise it would be a disaster'.
One month later in the last minute of Italy v Ukraine a blatant penalty is not given to Ukraine and Italy qualify.
But I suppose they are just greasy foreigners, we're British, no, no we're English. We have an Empire, Harrow and Eton, only foreigners cheat by gad.
Oh and Richard Scudamore didn't mean what he said, honest.

I've been accused of being a conspiracy theorist over the years but somethings not right.

There are just too many of these 'mistakes' that always seem to go against us for it to be just down to luck or mistakes by refs. Something is going on...

Just because you're not paranoid it doesn't mean they are not watching you...

Referee made a huge error.

Haaland's miss early in the game was a huge error.

Would it be acceptable for Foden to shout at Erling in the way Erling did at the referee?

You want the PL to take action against a player who scored against us and put his finger on his lips to the City fans? Seriously if that's what we are coming to then the rest will fall on deaf ears as we just sound like whining children.
Are you for real? This isn't about petty moaning. It's about the agreed laws of the game being consistently and transparently applied.

I was at that game, in the south stand where he came over to. His actions of coming over to us (rather than his own fans), gesturing numerous times (and not just the finger you obviously watched on TV) and laughing to gain a response are in direct conflict with the below FA rule

"A player must be cautioned, even if the goal is disallowed, for gesturing or acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way"

On that day, I watched as the referee turned his back and chose to ignore the celebrations which lasted almost a minute.

So, that referee should have booked him but made a conscious decision to ignore the breaking of the rule and didn't book him. Then, despite the incident being mentioned in newspapers, the PGMOL chose to do nothing what so ever.

Ordinarily this could be overlooked, but this fixture has previously resulted in crowd trouble, and both sets of fans were contacted by clubs and told to be on best behavior. As a result I find it disgraceful that, one - a player then chose to do this, two - his club didn't issue a statement, three - the match officials and authorities chose to take no action or make any sort of reference to it.

Oh yeah mate that’s the same isn’t it?

A miss early doors and a crucial game ending mistake to potentially win a frustrating game are not the same in any capacity.
False equivalences don’t help your arguments.

I don't believe we are targeted because of our owners etc. I believe the PL want 3 or 4 teams scrapping it out until May. Its why players are rarely sent off in big games. They want 90 minutes of excitement for TV audiences.
I believe they are trying to control the league, as we are the dominant team, we suffer the most from corrupt decisions.
