Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

I've just watched MotD2 on the iplayer and the Sky discussion on Youtube. There seemed agreement on Sky that Hooper had been the victim of panic. Which raises the question of whether the refs chosen for PL games have enough of the right kind of experience for this level or whether the right candidates are selected. It has to be remembered that this referee has been responsible for three howlers already, (but only disciplined for two of them). But it was Jenas who made the most telling point on MotD2. He argued that the only possible reason for blowing the whistle as the belief either that Jack was offside OR that Erling's pass was straight to Porro. But referee's are instructed only to blow when the outcome is clear ie when Porro had received the ball or Jack had scored and a VAR check could allow the goal or rule it out. This doesn't answer the question of whether Hooper was incompetent (AGAIN) or bent but it does tell us quite clearly that the decision was a shocker. Now City must control their players. Pity PGMOL can't control their officials (Or maybe they can.)

Has Hooper come forward and explained his reasoning behind his decision or has Webb made a statement on behalf of PGMOL , because when the Dippers and the Goons threw their toys out of the pram they had an explanation and grovelling apology within 24 hours.
We are being f*cked over in every way imaginable , Premier league , UEFA , Media , PGMOL , F.A., Sky . BBC , Talkshite and it is relentless , if our board was made up of KKK , Hamas , ISIS and a few Nazi's we couldnt get worse treatment , well they can all go and F*CK OFF.

Pity PGMOL can't control their officials (Or maybe they can DO.)
It wasn't "panic", it wasn't "human error", it was "making sure" of, or "affecting" the result.

Grealish might not have scored anyway, however we all know what happened was incorrect.

Earlier in the half spurs but through, and it was obvious fron even behind the goal, the players was at least 5 yards offside, to the point a couple of our players briefly stopped, the flag didn't go up until the move broke down which is the correct routine with VAR, when it's as obvious as that was, for me the flag should go up, it should only not go up when it's marginal, that one wasn't close to marginal.

I’ve seen loads of excuses.
“He thought Jack was offside”
“He panicked”
“He changed his mind”
If any of them were true he needs sacking for being a useless sack of shit.
He also needs sacking for being a corrupt ****.
It’s only City though so he doesn’t even miss a game.
None of those excuse will cut what was at stake. Lost 2 points could be the fine margin come end of the season. We are taking about few millions . Now who is going to compensate for the loss?

When it comes to that cosy little mafia, closed shop cabal known as PIGMOL they don't half get defensive when they make clear and obvious mistakes. One might jump to the conclusion that they're hiding something heaven forbid. First thing I'd introduce as a regulator would be to put an end to their shady syndicate.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it’s a duck!

That was one of the most blatant examples of corruption I have seen, it’s quite obvious what the game is this season
The painfully obvious explanation is that someone other than Hooper made that decision, and on the balance of probabilities the obvious answer is usually the truth.

They don’t give a shit unless it happens to anyone playing in red.
We’re the premier league, the fa and uefa’s cash cow.
