Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Unfortunately, that’s irrelevant. It doesn’t make it far. Big ‘if’. We didn’t commit more fouls, fact. We had 70% of the ball so of course less fouls.
It’s not ‘evening it up’ it’s simply unfair
I agree, he shouldn't ref any big games.

Bernie should have seen yellow, lost count of the number of yellows he should have shown arse! Awful performance, kept the game flowing, didn’t fall for their theatrics but didn’t apply the LOTG.

Vinnie Jones would have got through that game without being booked.

Horrendous refereeing.

Questions need to be asked about why any ref (but mainly Taylor today and identically at Anfield last year) should see fit to ref a game totally against how all games are reffed these days.

He abdicated all responsibility, Arsenal should have had 3 booked in the first 15 minutes. We didn't play great, but I'm sure if the laws of the game were being applied properly, some of their players would have had to be more careful and it could have made the difference.

The Bernardo clip to stop their break with Rodri ahead of the ball was the most obvious card but by that time he'd dug himself a hole with what he's allowed them away with. Same as Anfield last season, if you manage the game in that fashion it benefits the side camping their third and kicking lumps far more. Havertz straightened his leg and raised his foot to make sure he nailed Ortega, Var ignoring stuff like this isn;t right.
