I personally believe that your comments are niave but not wishing to argue. Those are you beliefs but I cannot accept them.
If City were denied the PL despite being so clearly superior to the competition, then the issue would be so blatant and obvious resulting in so much attention and exposure that a real issue would ensue. The PL daren't risk that kind of problem imo.
The rags and dippers rely upon the money from CL qualification , and the PL rely upon the money which comes to them from the rags and dippers being in the competition and boosting income revenues.
Sponsorship money for them both is linked to CL qualification so there is the vested interest explained without too much difficulty.
When the rags looked like they weren't going to qualify for a top 4 place a couple of seasons back, their penalties awarded suddenly increased. I don't believe that was a coincidence and previous comments from the PL hierarchy about " a successful MU being good for the PL " imo betrayed their hopes for the sake of future incomes.
PGMOL and their underlings form the vital cog in all of the above imo, and it is their influence and corruption which needs to be addressed and broken up, but will not be because of the money and influence that they bring.
