Ref Watch

So it's everywhere, everyone's at it? That's crazy talk considering city have just won the PL for the umpteenth time and in the CL. Unless someone has cheated on our behalf?

I personally believe that your comments are niave but not wishing to argue. Those are you beliefs but I cannot accept them.

If City were denied the PL despite being so clearly superior to the competition, then the issue would be so blatant and obvious resulting in so much attention and exposure that a real issue would ensue. The PL daren't risk that kind of problem imo.

The rags and dippers rely upon the money from CL qualification , and the PL rely upon the money which comes to them from the rags and dippers being in the competition and boosting income revenues.

Sponsorship money for them both is linked to CL qualification so there is the vested interest explained without too much difficulty.

When the rags looked like they weren't going to qualify for a top 4 place a couple of seasons back, their penalties awarded suddenly increased. I don't believe that was a coincidence and previous comments from the PL hierarchy about " a successful MU being good for the PL " imo betrayed their hopes for the sake of future incomes.

PGMOL and their underlings form the vital cog in all of the above imo, and it is their influence and corruption which needs to be addressed and broken up, but will not be because of the money and influence that they bring.

I disagree with your thoughts regarding the assistance for the rags and dippers but that it ok.

The only thing I am confident about is that things are not going to change anytime soon and games are going to be ruined by PGMOL's unchallenged influence.

They are the core of the shit shows we are having to witness.
Are they the core though or are they under instruction? Premier League I think lays down some markers they would like to see from each season. I am sure there is fairly regular dialogue between those that run the PL and Pigmol.

Its unfortunately an unholy cycle of media influence on PL, PL influence on PIGMOL, PIGMOL influence on games to achieve the outcomes the media wants. All down to money.

Why does no journalist pick Pep up on his oft repeated mantra 'we win and nobody GIVES US ANYTHING we do it ourselves'. What do they think he means by that? They pick him up on every other bloody word he utters to get a headline but not that.

And yes, I know we have won loads but that is despite this shit show not because of it. It means we need to be 20% better than the other teams and we are/have been for long stretches. Why are we so hated? Because of that.

If I understand correctly, PGMOL comes under the auspices of the Premier League whilst previously all referees and officials were appointed and allocated by the FA.

This beggers the rhetorical question of "Why the change?"

I can only assume that decent journalists ( Martin Samuels for instance ) are concerned about the influence which could be brought to bear and thus severely influence their income etc.

When the ref ( sorry my memory for names is shit ) told the media that he had been told to change his report by PGMOL , he was dismissed as crank or liar iirc.

I believe he also lost his pension award .

That I presume is the kind of influence which means that the shit show is allowed to continue.

I certainly wouldn't know how to go about setting up a concerted challenge to PiGMOL by supporters of all clubs in the PL who believe there is corruption being used to influence the outcomes of games for whatever reasons, but I believe that would be necessary to even stand a chance of bringing about any kind of reform.

My opinions and thoughts are too easily dismissed as being wrong , stupid and the work of a utter crank - my wife would definitely support that view .

But PiGMOL are the paid faciltators of the motives and interests of the PL.
