Ref Watch

How ? Up to know we have been screwed over far more than we gave benifitted
In the last few weeks, we got a pen against Wolves which many thought shouldnt have been given and the mahrez goal also wouldnt have counted today. Theres also the Villa offside goal which they ruled in favour for us and we had a pen/red card rescinded for Walker by VAR against Southampton.

We’ve had some go against us, Champions League semi was attrocious but to say the numbers skew to us being shafted just isnt accurate.

Outside of our games, Robinson wouldnt have been sent off today if it wasnt for VAR. We’d be much worse off without it as certain Red teams got away with murder for decades

'Some go against us'. Yeh OK.
Liverpool this season is just one in a very long line of appalling ref/var decisions but that was far more important that the Mahrez goal today.

Well done ignoring all the others mentioned and cherry picking

so VAR has helped us gain 3 points (1 against Southampton & 2 extra against Wolves).

Agreed we should of had a pen @ Anfield so 2 points lost there (although weve missed pens there before to win other games)

Net result +1 point in our favour. What are all the other incorrect VAR decisions which have cost us points??

However you look at the Wolves game, it is not accurate to say VAR helped us gain two points.

Many say the penalty that was awarded should not have been. Shearer on Match of the Day 2 last night was one of them. Jenas said a few minutes before him, the referee's will go away and analyse MOTD and other highlight programs to see where they made mistakes, so that they can improve their performances in future. With Shearer declaring categorically that our penalty against Wolves was incorrect, this is now the accepted narrative (by everyone not connected with City, plus a few City fans like you).

For the penalty, the Wolves player's arm was raised, thus enlarging his body shape. The ball struck his arm below the shoulder area. This is a penalty. Don't let MOTD, with their expert opinion backed by an inaccurate photo convince you otherwise.

But there was an earlier penalty claim against Wolves, that was not given. Personally, I don't think this was a penalty because the ball hit the player near the shoulder, and this is not deemed handball this year.

So looking at the two penalty incidents, if you go by The Laws of the Game, the second was a penalty but the first wasn't. Ignoring the LOTG, the reverse would be the case. You can't have it both ways. We definitely should have had at least one penalty, which we did.

Robertson mate, the dirty scouse wing back who has got away with murder over the years. As for the Ederson incident, if the ref had given a penalty it would have been more than the Bar Codes deserved, their player was not in possession of the ball and could therefore not have scored. An indirect free kick was what they deserved.

Are you pissed? A foul inside the area is a penalty. If whilst a corner Is coming in a player gets wrestled to the ground, is that not a penalty because he didn't have the ball? Give your head a wobble
