Ref Watch

If the on field decision was offside then surely it is up to the referee to review the decision, the ref did not look at the screen so how can var decide no interference. Howard Webb has said var should not interfer with on field decisions.

I’m sure I’ve seen red cards disregarded if the players offside but as you say who knows.
Law 18 - The Red Shirt Law: The match officials must interpret Laws 1 to 17 in a manner that advantages the team playing in red should that team be struggling to make a positive impact in the game through fair play.

Always have been incompetent bent cunts. Sooner City raise their game the less time we will have to spent analysing inept performances. The time wasting this season after the World Cup has really pissed me off. It might be small but it’s another form of corrupt game management.

The way the assistant ref looked apologetically at Rat face when he came over remonstrating with him..that tells a lot about what is wrong with the game today.
Well either him or the ref got it badly wrong & one of them needs hanging out to dry….we know who it’ll be

but that doesnt physically change anything the opponent can do and thats the bit that matters
If Akanji fouls him the goal is disallowed because Rashford was offside before the foul is committed. The assistant flagged for offside. The on field decision would be offside before the foul was committed. So it does change what the opponent can do.

Akanji could have fouled him and the goal could not have stood.
