You've forgotten the wait until City break, wait a little longer until we are well inside the oppontents half and then........ stop play for a nothing injury to an opponent near our area. You then restart with a drop ball where because a Watford player is stood 2 yards away you have no option but to play it back.

And the classic get in the way of a pass so it's a drop ball, then turn to our player who passed it and yell "I'm wearing red" when you're actually wearing purple and have already approved a team who have a yellow home kit playing in all green against a team in all blue, and you decide to wear the closest referee colour to both kits.

more worried who they send in Bernabeu as 80K fans will put pressure on the ref for sure.

Yep, thought he was good too. Think it helped with the way both teams played, it was a pretty honest game of football played in the right spirit (which is rare nowadays!)

I was going mad about that, he seemed to block a pass so many times, leading to the player having to turn into trouble. Once is bad enough, but he seemed to do it consistently throughout the game.

Thought the ref was quite good. We have had a lot worse.

Pep's booking - probably OTT but if you shout at the ref, that's what happens. It was a disagreement over a throw in, not something serious. Pep's passion got to him.

As I remember it, that wrongly awarded throw in led to their second goal. Or am a a FOC and got it wrong, again?

He was ok for me and allowing play on for goal number 4 was good as I thought he had blown for a free kick.

Apart from the advantage for the goal he was wank. A few times he had no idea whose throwing it was, he actually shrugged his shoulders at the point, kept getting in the way, gave them free kicks every time the wind blew them over etc. No better than the shit we see week in week out

Though he did pretty well, I’ll reserve judgement though until the second leg has been completed, still a bit confused about the penalty though, last I heard if it comes off your head onto your arm it’s not deemed an offence, obviously that’s changed, but when, I don’t know.
