Ref Watch

He was fine today.
They could have had a couple of other bookings for me, certainly the one on Grealish that Gundogan hit the bar from, and I'm not seeing "penalty" either, didn't think so at the game, and the replay didn't get much coverage.

Sadly (or not) I most enjoyed the "face" I saw on MoTD, which I didn't see at the game, and from my view in the stadium I was amazed it was given as a goal, and I'm behind the goal.

Anyway I think he's a shit referee, and bottles most decisions.

Fair enough. Maybe on another day there could have been more bookings and on others less. He could have ignored Fernandes’ petulance, but didn’t.

The penalty seems to be a coming together of feet. It was 50/50 for me. He obviously then tripped with the ball between his legs, but VAR was never going to change that decision.

It certainly didn't change the game, but it meant he couldn't, and that was my point way above.

I think oliver is a shit referee, but I also think he tries to influence our results when tight, if he can.
That's why I think he gave the penalty. The score looks better for both the PL and rag brand. Regardless of how the game actually played out.

I think that’s nonsense, but only my opinion.

Fans have difficulty to get past refs having poor performances in certain games and it clouds their judgement. They have a mental dossier on when a referee has a negative effect on their team, but nothing when they have a positive effect.

Oliver was beyond shite in the game at home to Chelsea when he should have sent Luiz off and we lost 3-1 with 9 men.

That doesn’t make him a bad referee. That shows he had a poor game.

He‘s in the top 2 referees in the PL, along with Taylor. That’s not my opinion, that’s the PGMOL opinion.

Yeah, definitely thought that 6-2 was shit for the Premier League, so gave a penalty to make it 6-3.

Is logic a thing in the 21st Century?

LOL, I have watched him referee other games than ours surprisingly, PL, CL, internationals etc, and imho he's often shite.

Nice to see the young ref, Thomas Bramall, in only his second Premier League game having the balls to stick with his original decision in the Bournemouth game, after the VAR suggested he has a look at a penalty appeal he turned down.

Still can’t make my mind up whether I agree with the decision. But either way, it took strong character.

He’ll go far.

Workington, Plymouth, Maidstone…

Wasn't OliVAR the same?

Took no shit at the swamp during an FA Cup tie against arsenal sending two rags off. GPC must have questioned his future career progression after.

Wasn’t that anthony taylor?

Didn’t think it was a pen, angle I saw it at, couldn’t actually see any contact at all, must have been the slightest of touch’s if there was.

Martial is a cheat, throwing himself on the floor comes natural to the ****.

Apparently VAR cannot overturn unless the Ref has made an obvious error.......well,not being touched, and going down faster than Katie Price, would seem to fit the bill.....but hey ho!
