Did you see the full back when Haaland crossed it for Gundy to score ? He suddenly collapsed in absolute (fake) agony. It is obvious that players now fake injuries after a goal in the hope Var rule it out and give a foul.
I know I am biased but there was no foul on the keeper but as a protected species.......

Looked like Haaland made contact with his knee on the follow through. Not a foul though.

Simon Hooper in the Dippers Derby just sums up the state of the officiating in the PL and how some teams are protected. Just Robertson as an example. 1st half he twice told the ref to fuck off, no card of course. 2nd half he books an Everton player, rightly, for kicking the ball away. 2 minutes later Robertson also kicks the ball away, no card given of course.
Robertson does eventually get a card, along with Pickford, for a scuffle not kicking the ball away, after he kicks the ball away but you have to question how the ref can book the Everton player and not the Dipper for similar offences within a few minutes of each other

Coote the replacement, who could not see the most obvious penalty for Jack being booted on the back of his leg v Wolves, the most blatant penalty you will see yet the ref, Var and the Var assistant all missing it.
No apology to us of course and no officials dropped from the next round of games, same as the outrageous incorrect decisions v Rags, Spurs home etc

How do you explain those decisions in any other way than 'bent'?

Robertson tells the referee to 'fuck off' twice, and ... nothing.

And for an Everton player to get carded for kicking the ball away while Robertson gets away with it is inexplicable.

After DIaz was booked for 'aggressively running' towards the referee on Sunday I thought there might be a clamp-down on dissent, but that must only count against certain teams.

Except Dermot he didn’t blow straight away. He waited for the ball to hit the back of the net. Almost as if he had no idea so thought let’s see what happens and if City score VAR will help me out as it checks all goals. Also interesting to note to Martinez waits to see where the ball goes then falls down holding his head faking a head injury

To be fair, when an attacker looks at where the keeper is, then jumps in the general direction of the ball and collides with the keeper, it will be a foul on the keeper 100 times out of 100. Unless it is Ederson of course, but that is a different issue.

But yes, Martinez is a twat, I think we all know that. He was being a twat here without it making any difference though, imo.

Think the ref and VAR got everything right on this one, tbf.

Not saying you’re wrong but the keeper definitely made contact with Haaland’s neck/jaw, it was reddened for the next 10 mins. I thought the keeper just beat him to the ball.
